This popular location in Manhattan is the nexus of the New York and Connecticut lines. What is it?

    Grand Central -- 42nd Street. The huge complex has dozens of shops and eateries. Television shows often use it as a filming locale, and concerts are sometimes held there.

When the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines pass south of the New Jersey border, they move into the territory of a system with a different name. What is it?
    New Jersey Transit. Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey and Penn Station in New York are the two major hubs of this part of the system.

If you are of age, it is legal to do something a bit unusual on the Metro North trains. What is it?
    Drink alcoholic beverages. There are stands to buy drinks on the approaches to some of the trains in Grand Central. There are even railway cars with bar areas on some lines. You must be at least 21 years of age and have proper identification in order to drink alcoholic beverages. Be sure to finish your drink and properly dispose of the container before you get where you're going, however. It's not legal to drink in public or litter once you get off the train, in any of the states in the system. Drinking is also not welcome on buses or taxis, in any of the Metro North states.

At this stop, the Hudson Line lets out right down the block from a branch of the Dia Art Museum. What is the station?
    Beacon. The Dia Museum at Beacon displays original works by Andy Warhol, Bruce Nauman, Dan Flavin and many other prominent modern artists.

This industrial city on the New Haven Line claims to be Connecticut's most populous municipality. It hosts a minor league baseball team and a zoo. What is it?
    Bridgeport. The city is home to the Bridgeport Bluefish of minor league baseball, the P. T. Barnum Circus Museum and the only zoo in the state of Connecticut.

This station on the Hudson Line is the northernmost stop on that branch which is still within the borders of New York City. What is it?
    Riverdale. Riverdale is in the Bronx. So is Spuyten Duyvil, but south of it. Ludlow and Irvington are over the border in Westchester, the county immediately north of the Bronx. Westchester is not part of New York City.

This Connecticut city, home to an Ivy League university, has two Metro North stations to call its own. What is it?
    New Haven. State Street and Union Station are the two Metro North stops in town. Yale is in New Haven. The Ivy League institution was founded by Eli Whitney. Five other major colleges also call the city home: Quinnipiac University, Southern Connecticut State University, Gateway Community College, Albertus Magnus College and the University of New Haven.

This town on the Harlem Line was the home of the first factory for condensed milk. In the late 20th century, the town became host to a branch office of one of the biggest technology companies in the world. What is the town?
    Brewster. The milk factory opened in 1864. In the 1990s, IBM opened a facility in Brewster.

This New York town on the Port Jervis line is home to two state parks, Harriman and Sterling Forest. The latter is host to a popular annual fair. What town is this?
    Tuxedo. The New York Renaissance Fair takes place every summer in Sterling Forest.

This stop on the Pascack Valley Line is in a town that hosts the second largest St. Patrick's Day parade in New York State. Pharmaceutical company Wyeth also has a major office here. What town is this?
    Pearl River. Pearl River has a prominent Irish-American community. St. Patrick's Day itself is March 17, but the town usually holds its parade on the Sunday following this day.
