Bobby Hull became the third player to score 50 just the next season, while Phil Esposito scored 76 times in 1970-71 to become the fourth 50 goal scorer. Gordie Howe never scored 50 goals in the NHL in one season.

After scoring 50 goals with Pittsburgh Penguins previously, Pierre Larouche became the first player to score 50 goals with two different teams when he did so with the Montreal Canadiens in 1979-80. Who was the first player to score multiple 50 goal seasons with two different teams?
    Pavel Bure. After scoring 50 goals in three different seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, Bure went on to two more 50 goals seasons with the Florida Panthers. Gretzky had eight 50 goal seasons with Edmonton, but only manage one 50 goal season with Los Angeles. Selanne had only one 50 goal season with the Winnipeg Jets before doing it twice with Anaheim, and Jaromir Jagr had two 50 goal seasons with the Penguins before recording one with the New York Rangers.

    Ken Hodge. Hodge was born in England and recorded 50 goals for the Boston Bruins in 1973-74. Kurri, Carpenter and Loob were the first Finnish, American and Swedish born players respectively to record 50 goal seasons.

Who was the first player to record 50 goals seasons with the same franchise in two different locations?
    Keith Tkachuk. After recording 50 goals in 1995-96 with the Winnipeg Jets, Keith Tkachuk scored 52 goals the next season after the franchise moved to Phoenix and became the Coyotes. None of Modano, McDonald and Sakic ever managed to do so.

Who was the first player to score 50 goals in a season in which he was traded?
    Craig Simpson. In the 1987-88 season, Craig Simpson scored 56 times despite being traded from the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Edmonton Oilers that year. The next player to manage the feat was Dave Andreychuk in 1992-93 after being traded from the Buffalo Sabres to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In the 1981-82 campaign, Wayne Gretzky set the NHL record by scoring 92 goals. Who finished second in goals that season?
    Mike Bossy. Behind Gretzky, Bossy scored 64 times for the New York Islanders in 1981-82. Maruk had 60, Ciccarelli had 55 and Vaive had 54 that season.

Who was the first player to score 50 goals in a season for the Detroit Red Wings?
    Michael Redmond. Redmond scored 52 goals for Detroit in 1972-73 and was just the seventh player to record a 50 goal season. Grant (1974-75), Ogrodnick (1984-85) and Yzerman (1987-88) were the next three Red Wings to notch 50 goals in one season.

Which of the following players had the longest streak of consecutive 50 goal seasons?
    Mike Bossy. Bossy scored 50 goals in nine consecutive seasons for the New York Islanders, beginning in 1977-78. Gretzky did it in eight straight seasons (beginning 1979-80), Lafleur in six straight (beginning 1974-75). Marcel Dionne, as well as Phil Esposito and Brett Hull, had five consecutive 50 goal seasons.

Who was the first player to score 50 goals in a season for a team that was NOT in the original six?
    Rick MacLeish of the Philadelphia Flyers. MacLeish scored 50 goals for Philadelphia in the 1972-73 season. Martin scored 52 times the next season, Jean Pronovost scored 52 goals during the 1975-76 season and Guy Chouinard reached the milestone in 1978-79.

In the 1992-93 season, Winnipeg's Teemu Selanne scored 76 goals as a rookie. Who tied with Selanne for the league lead in goals that season?
    Alexander Mogilny. Playing for the Buffalo Sabres, Mogilny recorded his first 50 goal season by burying 76 goals in 1992-93. Lemieux scored 69 times, Robitaille 63 times and Turgeon 58 times that season.
