    Three Rivers Stadium. This park was the home to the Pittsburgh Pirates as well as the Steelers. Three Rivers had two World Series, 1971 and 1979, as well as two All-Star Games in 1974 and 1994. Three Rivers was demolished in 2000 and was replaced by PNC Park. Three Rivers was called a "cookie-cutter" stadium because of the way it looked. It was one of three stadiums that was round, tall and used for both football and baseball. It's shape gave it it's cookie-cutter name. The other two were River Front Stadium in Cincinnati and Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia. All have been replaced with state of the art ballparks.
