What city is south of Windhelm?

Riften. Whiterun is northwestwest of Windhelm. Winterhold is northnorthwest, and Markarth is far to the west. Riften is not directly south of Windhelm, but it is the only one in the southern direction from Windhelm.

How many Holds are in Skyrim?
Nine. The nine holds are Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, The Pale, Winterhold Hold, The Reach, Whiterun Hold, Eastmarch, Falkreath Hold, and the Rift. There are also nine cities: Solitude, Morthal, Dawnstar, Winterhold, Markarth, Whiterun, Windhelm, Falkreath, and Riften.

What is the capital of Hjaalmarch?
Morthal. Markarth is the capital of The Reach, Solitude is the capital of Haafingar, and Whiterun is the capital of Whiterun Hold. Hjaalmarch is between Haafingar and Whiterun Hold.

Where is the palace known as the Blue Palace located?
Solitude. The palace in Whiterun is Dragonsreach, the palace in Windhelm is the Palace of the Kings, and Understone Keep is in Markarth. What I think is strange is that Solitude is the HQ of the Imperial Legion in Skyrim, which has soldiers that wear red, and Windhelm, the HQ of the Stormcloaks, has soldier that wear blue. And the palace in Solitude is the Blue Palace.

Where is Candlehearth Hall?
Windhelm. The inn in Solitude is the Winking Skeever, the inn in Riften is the Bee and Barb, and the inn in Whiterun is the Bannered Mare. You can find Candlehearth Hall right in front of the main entrance to the city.

What city is south of Whiterun?
Falkreath. Dawnstar is north of Whiterun, Markarth is west, and Morthal is northwest. If you want to go there, you can take a carriage for 50 gold, or you can travel on foot and the closest location you are likely to know is Helgen, the city where the dragon attacked.

What Hold are the Forsworn in?
The Reach. There are no Forsworn in any Hold except The Reach. They were the natives of Markarth, and the Nords took over. Now they are in a long war with the Nords, claiming that the Forsworn were there first, and The Reach belongs to them.

What Hold is Dawnstar in?
The Pale. Riften is in the Rift, Solitude is in Haafingar, and Windhelm is in Eastmarch. You can do two Daedric quests in Dawnstar, Mehrunes Dagon and Vaermina. To start Mehrunes Dagon's quest, you must be at least level 15 and recieve a letter from a courier that tells you there is a new museum opening up in Dawnstar. And to start Vaermina's, you must talk to a Dark Elf named Erandur in the Windpeak Inn in Dawnstar.

What is the name of the tallest mountain in Skyrim?
The Throat of the World. Red Mountain is a volcano on the island of Vvardenfell in Morrowind. The other two I made up. You can go to Red Mountain in "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind". Unlike Skyrim, you can only travel to on the island of Vvardenfell. You cannot explore the entire province.

What is the capital of Skyrim?
Solitude. In older games, Winterhold was considered the capital, and later Whiterun was. In the game of Skyrim, Solitude is the capital. If you take a carriage to Solitude, the driver will say that Solitude is the capital, assuming you already knew that.
