To reach the Incomparable Gardens. Superior Saturday wants to reach the Incomparable Gardens to defeat Lord Sunday. We aren't exactly sure about how she wants to go about it, but it is hinted throughout the book. Finally she uses a rocket to blast through the sky and infiltrate the undersky of the Incomparable Gardens.

Who is the assigned General on Earth who has been commanded by Saturday to bomb the private hospital that Arthur's friends live in?

General Pravuil. General Pravuil is commanded to bomb the private hospital. Arthur therefore uses his key to freeze time, but by the end of the book, the freeze begins to not work and the hospital is in risk of being bombed.

What are the names of the two broken Dame Primuses?

Quarto and Septum. Dame Primus splits up into Dame Quarto and Dame Septum to deal with the infiltration of Nothing into the Middle House.

What was the name of the Raised Rat that greeted Arthur in the Upper House?

Dartbristle. Dartbristle was the Raised Rat dressed up as a Piper's Child who greeted Arthur and Suzy in the Upper House where the chains worked. He also tried to kill Arthur in the end, but only because he was forced to by Saturday. The RatCatchers kill him at the end.

In the water, as a raven. Originally the Will was a raven, but it turned into many forms such as the cockroach. It must have been disgusting for Arthur to have a cockroach in his sleeve whilst he was bashed here and there when the rocket was set off.

Which of Saturday's servants weren't with her throughout the whole book?

Dawn. It was said in the previous books that Saturday's Dawn had been killed. Noon and Dusk were the only ones with her in the fight in the Incomparable Gardens. They wore a multicoloured umbrella.

What were the sorcerous supernumeraries supposed to visualise for the radiant eradication of matter?

Glowing ember. They were supposed to visualise glowing ember. The supernumerary next to Arthur had forgotten this and asked Arthur. But Arthur was unable to tell him the answer, saying that he had failed this section in his exam.

What was the name of the lady who helped Leaf rescue the sleepers in the hospital?

Martine. Martine had actually fled when she heard there was a bomb to be set in the hospital but came back at the turn of the tide to help Leaf put the sleepers into the Survival Centre.

Who captured Suzy?

Artful Loungers. The Artful Loungers were hiding around the couches all the time, and sensed it Arthur when he began to conjure the Will. They took Suzy away whilst Arthur was being sucked into a drain that led to the Reservoir.
