Red Squirrel. As a child he was called Kielianapuna which meant 'red squirrel' and because the red squirrel was considered very lucky and was hardly ever seen, Kieli was considered a lucky child.

Shantana Higo. 'For two days he had sat below the peak of Shantana Higo, in the place of manhood, awaiting for his vision.'

Miliana. 'He missed his mother, whisper of the night wind and his younger sister, Miliana...' Kelewan was the homeworld of the Tsurani and Eye Of The Blue-Winged Teal was the girl a year older then Talon whom he wanted for his wife.

Kulaam. 'Them men in the village of Kulaam looked on...' Kapoma was the village that was attacked first and was right next to Talon's home village of Kulaam.

Elk's Call at Dawn. 'His father, Elk's Call at Dawn, was everything the boy hoped to be, strong, friendly, kind...'

When Tal saw the smoke above the village, who did he think was attacking the Orisini?
Slavers. Tal thought that the village was being overpowered by Slavers from Inaska or Watcher's point because the red and blond haired mountain Orisini were worth a lot on the slaving blocks.

When Tal ran into the village what did he silently wish for?
Sword and Spear. He wished for a sword or spear as he had only his ceremonial dagger for his manhood vision and it was old and weak.

Where was Tal injured when he was first struck with a blade?
Chest. 'For a second he thought he had avoided the blade, then pain erupted across his chest and he felt blood flowing.' The blade left a magnificent scar of which Talon was very proud and it ran from his shoulder to under his breast.

What colour was the leader of the raider's horse?
Black. 'On wobbly legs he started forwards, his target a man upon a black horse, obviously the leader of these murderers.' For some reason, I find that most of Mr Feist's bad guys' are on black horses.

The bird in Talon's vision after he was struck with the crossbow said, "Linger, little brother, for your time is not yet. Be my talon and .... our enemies.' What is the missing word?
Rend. I'll tell you what "rend" means because I didn't know myself for a while. It means to cause great pain and distress and to tear them apart.

A while after he was rescued, when 'they had stopped for a while' Tal 'recognized a structure around him'. What was it?
Barn or Shed. Talon did not know if he was in a barn or shed at first glance but it later turned out to be both.

Latagore. '...buried in the forests of Latagore...' The 'inn' was indeed deep in forests and hunting there was much game to be hunted down. The inn also doubled as a fortress.

Pasko told Talon that he was once a soldier. Whose service was Pasko in?
Duke of Dungarren. Dungaran is located south of the land of the Orisini, on the borders of Far Lorm. It is not on the original maps of the kingdom being too far east.

Of what nature was Talon?
Patient. Talon was patient and 'let the days at Kendarick's go by without pestering Pasko with questions'. Talon later became more inquisitive but he kept his patient nature which was common to a lot of his people.

While at Kendarick's, who did Talon say 'stood with the confidence of a proven warrier'?
Caleb. Caleb is the son of Pug and Miranda and is the only one in the family not possessing any magical talents. He possesses amazing hunting skills and an original way of looking at the world though.
