Spiro Agnew. While Kennedy was sympathetic to the Israelis he condemned the 1967 war as a deliberate effort to avoid diplomacy. Kissinger was neutral in his attitude to the war, and though he condemned Nasser's Soviet Dealings he never admired Israel. Edward Kennedy's political career had hardly begun then Spiro Agnew-who would become vice president later-openly said on the post that he admired Israel's strategy and victory and that diplomacy was not on the cards here.

What was *not* a result of the 1967 war?
The rise of Al Fatah and Yasser Arafat. The rise Arafat was independent of the 1967 war. Initially, Nasser resigned after the war but returned to power almost immediately amid widespread popular demonstrations. He then remained in office till his death in 1970.
