In chapter eleven, it tells us that Dorian Gray had been poisoned by vanity.

    f. Dorian Gray had been poisoned by a book. Lord Henry had given him a book about a young man whose life was encompassed in leisure and luxury. Dorian had 8 copies, all bound in a different color to suit his mood.

In chapter twelve, who does Dorian walk past on the street, almost without recognizing him?
    Basil. Basil is headed to a studio in Paris where he can focus on his art. But first, he desired to meet with Dorian in an attempt to save Dorian's reputation.

In chapter thirteen, what does Basil tell Dorian to do after he sees Dorian's picture?
    Pray. When Basil sees the record of Dorian's sins, he realizes just how much trouble Dorian is in. He begs Dorian to pray. Basil is so infatuated with Dorian that he desires only to save him.

In chapter fourteen, how long does Alan say it will take to destroy the evidence of Basil's murder?
    5 hours. Alan required 5 hours to completely dispose of Basil's body. He burnt it in the fireplace.

In chapter fifteen, who is trying to limit his/her smoking habit?
    Lady Ruxton. Lady Ruxton tells everybody she is trying to limit her habit, but no one seems to deem this necessary.

In chapter sixteen, what is an old man in the opium house having hallucinations of?
    Red ants crawling on him. Two women stand by laughing as this old man moves about trying to get the ants off of him.

In chapter seventeen, why did Dorian faint?
    He saw James Vane.. After nearly escaping Vane's threats in a previous encounter, Dorian is at a dinner party and sees Vane spying on him through the window.

In chapter eighteen, Dorian told Sir Geoffrey not to shoot a hare.
    t. Dorian tried to convince Sir Geoffrey not to shoot at the hair. Interestingly, the shot ended up killing James Vane. Perhaps Dorian was experiencing a premonition.

In chapter nineteen, what is the only thing that terrifies Lord Henry?
    Death. Dorian and Lord Henry are discussing Basil's disappearance. Lord Henry confesses that if Basil IS dead, that he doesn't want to think about it because it terrifies him. On a side note, you should look up "doctrinaire" in a dictionary. It is a great word!

In the final chapter, who was one of the sneering men walking outside Dorian's house when a scream was heard?
    Sir Henry Ashton's uncle. Henry Ashton was one of Dorian's many social casualties in his life of debauchery. The uncle will be pleased to know that Dorian had finally met his end.
