The poem of the Great River is:
Swift river born in deepest night,

Deep ice and dark, it's swaddling cloth,
The nation's foes will feel its wrath
'Til mightly ratterlin spends its strength
In the delta at full length. -Lirael.

t. The wall separates the Old Kingdom from Ancelstierre. Even the moon is different. It has magical wind flutes that are only heard by the Dead, so that they do not get out of hand. Nehima. It has silver wire on the grip and a green stone set into the pommel. Mosrael and Astrael are two of the Bright Shiners or the names of the Bells and/or Pipes in wich their spirits live on. |How many Bright Shiners "chose not to shine"?|
2. continuing from the question above: "What of the Two that chose not to shine? The eigth did hide, hide all away, but the seven caught him, and made him pay. The ninth was strong and fought with might, but lone Orannis was put out of the light. Broken in two and buried under the hill, Forever to lie there wishing us ill." Spooky.
|"When the dead do walk seek..." what?|
water's run. It goes like this: "When the dead do walk seek water's run, for this the Dead will always shun. Swift river's best or broadest lake to ward the dead and have and make. If water fails thee, fire's thy friend, if neither guards it will be thy end."-Lirael. Also spooky.
