Ablative armor is extremely strong and withstood an assault from three Klingon Birds of Prey for quite a while when rescuing a bunch of Cardassian officials.The officials were believed to be Changelings in disguise by the Klingons. This was after the attack on Cardassian space by the Klingons. Too bad the Klingons didn't capture Cardassia Prime.
