    Three. Their names are Alnilam, Alnitak, and Mintaka.

Orion is usually portrayed as trying to slay a beast; which one is it?
    Taurus. Taurus, the Bull, is one of the twelve signs of the zodiac.

Below Orion is a small creature, "running away from the beast" in question 2. What is it?
    a Hare. The constellation's name is Lepus.

Two of the brightest stars in the sky are in Orion; what are their names?
    Betelgeuse and Rigel. They are the shoulder and foot of the hunter.

Is Orion visible all year in the Northern Hemisphere?
    n. It is not visible in the summer.

Where are the three faint stars in a row that form Orion's sword?
    Hanging from his belt. When I first saw this, I believed it to be "Orion's Butt"!

Which culture gave Orion its name?
    Greek. The Sumerians saw Orion as a sheep, and gave Betelguese its name, "armpit of the sheep".

In the winter, Northern Hemisphere, and in the night, which direction should you look to find Orion?
    South. Many of the most interesting Northern Hemisphere winter constellations are in the southern sky.

There is an astronomical object called "The Orion Nebula." Is it actually viewed in Orion?
    y. A nebula is a huge cloud of dust.

Is Orion visible in the Southern Hemisphere?
