    Balloons. "Toy Balloons" reached number 7 for Mr Conway back in 1961. I'm not actually sure how you tell the difference between a toy balloon and a real one!

Which old enough to know better group were playing with a "Rag Doll" in 1964?
    Four Seasons. Featuring the high vocals of Frankie Valli, this was a big hit on both side of the Atlantic for these US hitmakers. Other hits include "Let's Hang On" and "Sherry".

Goodness me! Look at Tommy Bruce and the Bruisers, a nice macho, tough sounding lot, you would think. But no, what are they crying over?
    A Broken Doll. "Ain't Misbehavin'" was the first hit for Tommy Bruce and The Bruisers, reaching number 3 in 1960. The follow-up, "Broken Doll" only reached 36 however.

Slim Whitman was playing with one in 1955. Julian Cope also decided he wanted one too in 1989. Which girls toys did this pair play with?
    China Doll. Slim Whitman, famous for his yodelling style singing, scored his biggest UK hit with "Rose Marie" in 1955. "China Doll" reached number 15 in the same year. Julian Cope was the former lead singer with The Teardrop Explodes. His "China Doll" was a minor hit in 1989.

Which man was brave enough to sing about his "Teddy Bear" in 1981, and earn himself a top ten hit in the process?
    Red Sovine. Actually about a little crippled boy and his CB radio, "Teddy Bear" was one of several tear-jerkers recorded by the late country artist Woodrow Wilson "Red" Sovine.

Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers are sitting in a corner watching cartoons. Which one is keeping them amused?
    "Roadrunner". When ever there is a chart for "The greatest single ever made" Jonathan Richman's "Roadrunner" usually appears somewhere in it! Released on the acclaimed "Beserkley" record label, "Roadrunner" was a number 11 hit in 1977.

Cliff Richard and the Shadows want their toy to come to life. What are they hoping for?
    "Living Doll". One of the biggest selling UK acts of all time, Cliff Richard has actually had a hit twice with "Living Doll". A number one in 1959, the song was later revived in 1986 for the "Comic Relief" charity, when Cliff again took it to number one along with the Young Ones.

Frank Chacksfield and his Orchestra have got themselves a "Little Red" what?
    Monkey. This English orchestra had six top 30 hits in the 50s, with "Little Red Monkey" reaching number 10 in 1953.

The Small Faces just had one soldier to play with in 1967. Stiff Little Fingers had a whole army of them in 1980. What were these bands soldiers made of?
    Tin. The much acclaimed Small Faces single "Tin Soldier" was a top ten hit in 1967. Lead singer Steve Marriot later formed Humble Pie, when the rest of the band later linked up with Rod Stewart to perform as The Faces. Stiff Little Fingers were an Irish band whose biggest hit was "At The Edge" in 1980.

The King Brothers do look a little silly playing with this toy. What are these three brothers from Essex, England playing with?
    Doll House. Very popular in England in the late 50s/early 60s, brothers Denis, Michael and Tony King reached number 21 with "Doll House" in 1960. Other hits for the King Brothers include "Seventy Six Trombones" and "A White Sport Coat".

Some toys are more popular with pop stars then others, it would seem. The Avons, Bobby Vee and Marty Wilde were all bouncing around with a what in 1961?
    Rubber Ball. Bobby Vee bounced the highest with his "Rubber Ball"-he got to number 4 in the charts. The Avons managed number 30, whilst Marty Wilde reached number 9. Twenty years later, his daughter Kim had many hits of her own, a few of them were even written by Marty.

Jackie Lee has got her cuddly toy bear with her, I see. Do you know which one it is?
    "Rupert". Jackie Lee had two entries in the UK charts, "Rupert" made it to number 14 in 1971, whilst "White Horses" was a top ten hit in 1968.

Oh Dear! Andrew Roachford is a fully grown man, but he still likes to have his what?
    Cuddly Toy. "Cuddly Toy" was a top ten hit in 1989 for Roachford, which was the name of Andrew Roachford's band.

The title of this quiz, "Toys In The Attic" is also the name of a 1975 album by which American rockers?
    Aerosmith. What can you say about Aerosmith? Still going strong in 2003, Aerosmith were formed in 1970. Their numerous hits include "Walk This Way", "Dude (Looks Like A Lady") "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and "Jaded".
