    Queen Elizabeth. Elizabeth may well have beeen one of the most influential women in history. She ruled at a time (late 1500s, early 1600s) that was colorful and filled with intrigue. Babington unwisely planned to dispose of her - but the plot was detected at an early stage and never had a chance of success. Babington was executed.

The bomb plot to kill Hitler did not succeed. What prominent German figure was forced to commit suicide as a result of his participation in the plot?
    Erwin Rommel. Von Stauffenberg's bomb attempt on 20 July 1944 unfortunately failed to do the job. Rommel, a great war hero until that time, paid with his life.

The plot by John Wilkes Booth to assassinate Abraham Lincoln was successful - but the plot also encompassed other political targets. What individual was severely wounded by an assassin, but survived the attack?

    A mayor. Anton Cermak was the Mayor of Chicago. He was probably thrilled to have the chance to be with the American president - but he turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The CIA considered many assassination attempts on this leader, including poison cigars.
    Fidel Castro. The CIA was quite creative in its plans and contemplations during the 60's - when Castro was something of an obsession with certain factions of the government.

    Gerald Ford. Within a relatively short period of time, Ford was targeted by two shooters. Fromme was a "Manson girl". Both tried with guns, but were unsuccessful.

Which of these presidents was the target of an assassination attempt by a man named Richard Lawrence?
    Andrew Jackson. Jackson is said to be the first of the U.S. presidents to be confronted by a would-be assassin. The shooter, however, had problems with his guns.

This American President took a bullet from a would-be assassin.
    Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt didn't let a little thing like getting shot interfere with his speech. Tough guy.

The attempt to assassinate Ronald Reagan failed, but it left James Brady severely wounded. Who was Brady?
    White House Press Secretary. Reagan was the target, but it was the unlucky Brady who took a bullet in the head. He has never fully recovered.

The man who attempted to assassinate George Wallace was ...?
    Arthur Bremer. Wallace, a major figure in the politics of the 1960's, was running for president. Bremer, a disturbed young man, shot at him. The result was that Wallace was confined to a wheelchair. The other choices are figures from the assassination of JFK.
