A brother and sister get lost in the woods while looking for wood for their father and their stepmother. They come across a house, owned by a witch, who is very friendly. However, the witch puts the boy in a cage to fatten him up to eat. What happens next?

    The girl shoves the witch into the oven. The story is "Hansel and Gretel". They were very hungry, so they couldn’t help nibbling on the witch’s house, which was made of gingerbread and cakes. Hansel and Gretel return to their father, with jewels which belonged to the witch.

A merchant gets lost in the woods. After finding a house to stay in overnight, he picks a rose from a rose bush and leaves. What happens next?
    A big beast appears. This is from "Beauty and the Beast". The rose is for the merchant’s youngest daughter, Beauty (sometimes known as Belle). A handsome prince was put under a spell, after turning away a beggar woman, who was really a witch. Beauty comes to live with the beast and gradually the beast learns how to love.

A duckling is born, and is teased a lot for being different. After many adventures he looks at his reflection. What happens next?
    He has turned into a swan. This is from "The Ugly Duckling". He was different from his duckling brothers and sisters because he was a cygnet – a baby swan.

A maid is told to spin straw into gold. What happens next?
    A dwarf spins it for her. This is from "Rumpelstiltskin". Rumpelstiltskin is a dwarf with a very bad temper. He makes the maid promise that when she marries the King, he will have her first-born child. Then he makes her guess what his name is.

A man and his cat travel together. The cat insists his master bathe in a lake. What happens next?
    The king passes by. This is from "Puss in Boots". Puss is a very clever cat, with fashionable clothes sense! At the end of the story, Puss’s master, a humble miller’s son, marries the Princess.

A young girl leads a lonely life in a high tower. She makes friends with a wandering prince. What happens next?
    A witch chops her hair off. This is from "Rapunzel". Rapunzel had beautiful hair, long enough for the prince to climb up the tower on. She eventually marries the prince.

A princess is playing with her favourite ball, when it falls into a pool. What happens next?
    A frog gets it for her. This is from "The Princess and the Frog". The frog insists that if he gets the ball for the princess, he must be able to live with the princess, and eat with her, and share her comforts. Although the princess is not too pleased about this at first, she gradually gets used to the frog, who turns into a prince.

Three animals leave their home comforts and begin to live by themselves. What happens after they have built their houses?
    A wolf tries to blow them down. Of course this is "The Three Little Pigs". The big bad wolf threatened to "Huff and Puff and blow their house down". He managed to do it with the house of straw and the house of sticks but failed with the house of bricks. The third little pig was very clever, to build a house of bricks!

A little girl is told to go on a mission. While walking though the woods, she meets an animal. What happens next?
    She picks some flowers. This is from "Little Red Riding Hood". She was told to take a basket to her Granny, who was ill, but she got talking a wolf instead. The wolf, after delaying Red Riding Hood, runs off to Granny’s house, to eat up Granny and lie in wait for the little girl. Luckily the woodsman rescues Red Riding Hood and Granny.

A little girl enters a house without permission. What happens next?
    She eats a bowl of porridge. All these things happen in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", but Goldilocks ate Little Bear’s porridge first. After breaking Little Bear’s chair and curling up in Little Bear’s bed, she runs away when the Bears come home and find her.
