When are bats most active?

At night. Bats are nocturnal animals.

How do they navigate, find food and find home?

By sound. Bats emit a high-pitched sound that bounces off objects. By listening to the returning echo, they can determine what the object is, how near it is, and whether it is moving. This is called echolocation.

What do most bat-species eat?

Insects. Most bats feed on insects, some types feed on fruit and there are a few species which eat other things.

What kind of animal is a bat?

A mammal. Of course bats are mammals! They have fur or hair and their young are fed on mother's milk.
