    Beagle. While it is really difficult to tell from Charles Schulz's drawing of Snoopy, he is indeed a beagle. While Schulz is no longer with us, his black and white dog on top of a red doghouse will live on.

    Dandie Dinmont Terriers. The farmer, named Dandie Dinmont, owned six of the little terriers. The name of the breed came after the publication of the novel and comes from the fictional character's name.

    Jack Russell Terrier. Eddie is played by the dog known as Moose. An Italian Greyhound was once featured on the show as the dog for Niles, but the little dog was sent on its merry way.

    Great Dane. Marmaduke is indeed a Great Dane. Another famous Great Dane is from the cartoon series, "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" He is the title character.

From the country of Japan, there is an old, true story about a dog who awaited his master every day at the train station. What breed was Hachiko?
    Akita. Every day, Hachiko waited at Shibuya station in Tokyo for his master to return from work. When Hachiko was 18 months old, his master died at work. Unable to understand, Hachiko continued to wait at the station for the remainder of his life. The station's busiest exit is named after Hachiko.

Taking a look at commercials, what breed of dog has been seen in commercials for Taco Bell?
    Chihuahua. Chihuahua's belong to the smallest dog breed recognized by the Westminster Kennel Club of America. They come in two varieties: long coat and smooth coat.

In the 1982 movie version of "Annie", what breed of dog played the famous dog, Sandy?
    Otterhound. While in the story, Sandy was supposed to be a mixed breed dog. Sandy was played by a pure-breed Otterhound.

In the cartoon, "Belle and Sebastian", Sebastian is constantly looking for his mother aided by a large 'monster'. What breed of dog was Belle?
    Great Pyrenees. This heartwarming series is all about the friendship between a boy and his dog. Belle's most outstanding attribute was her 100% white coat and almost human intelligence.

In 1925, there was a diphtheria outbreak in Nome, Alaska. One of the heros of the day was a dog, named Balto. What breed of dog was Balto?
    Siberian Husky. The Siberian husky would later have a movie named after him. Also the annual Iditarod race still continues to this day memorializing his run with his team and master to transport medicine.
