The officials ordered the game to be replayed. The Peruvian team was insulted and withdrew from the competition. Austria went on to win silver, losing to Italy in the finals. The gold medal winning Italians defeated the Austrians 2-1. Norway would claim bronze after defeating Poland in the bronze medal match, 3-2.

Answer: On lawn tennis courts

The International Basketball Federation was experimenting with outdoor basketball. The countries had to play on lawn tennis courts each game. In the gold medal match, the United States faced off against Canada. It was raining, and this made the court turn very muddy.

There were no stands so the 1,000 spectators had to stand in the rain. It was so bad that soon the players for either team could not dribble. The final score was U.S.A 19, Canada 8. Joe Fortenberry scored the most points in the game. Joe scored a total of seven points.

In the bronze medal match, Mexico defeated Poland 26-12, to win the bronze. The next Summer Games that the competition was the 1948 London Games, and it was held indoors. The 1940 and 1944 Games were canceled due to the war.

At the 1936 Olympic Games, Rie accumulated a total of three gold medals and a single silver medal. Rie placed first in the 400m freestyle and the 4x100m freestyle relay. Her lone silver medal came in the 100m backstroke.
