Ricky was very well built, but not too smart. This was a contest where Carrie was a judge and met her fellow judge Bill Kelley. Bill was running for city comptroller. A comptroller (also called a city controller) handles the finances of his community. He or she would be an accountant on a very large scale.

Carrie was close to calling it quits with Bill, in my opinion, because he wanted her to provide him with a unique fantasy. But, she tried to compromise instead and he ending up breaking it off with her because "Sex And The City" was bad for his image.

But, Dennis instead confesses to Charlotte that he is in love with her and wants to leave Amy. Disgusted, Charlotte runs from Dennis and he follows persistently.

The scene ends with Charlotte falling in front of a taxi cab, which is carrying her future husband Trey. Robert Redford's daughter Amy Redford played Dennis' wife Amy in this episode.
