Scrabble Anagrams Up The Ladder game quiz
"Each answer consists of two or more words that are anagrams of each other. I will start with 3-letter words and go all the way to 12-letter words. No punctuation is required and the starting letters will be given for most answers."

15 Points Per Correct Answer - No time limit

1. In Scrabble, there are about 950 three-letter words, of which about 500 would be in everyday use. Most of the answers in my quiz will be common words, too.

Start with these threes- 'Feline part of a play'.
Answer: (Two Words- No hint for this one!)

2. Despite FunTrivia being a quiz site, the highest scoring 4-letter word is NOT 'quiz' (for 22 points). It is, in fact, the little-known 'jazy', a worsted wig, which scores 23 points.

I think my 4-letter question calls for a four-word answer. 'Chooses mail vessels end'.
    Answer: (Starting letters O P P S)

3. Five letters this time, and an amusing mental picture- 'A fish teacher'.
    Answer: (Starting letters T T)

4. The six-letter question is also a silly image, but usually the sillier the image, the easier the words are to remember.

'Rudolph's headwear for hire'.
    Answer: (Starting letters A R)

5. These two words use one of the best-known 6-letter stems to create two 7-letter bingos.

'Most circumspect servers'.
    Answer: (Starting letters W W)

6. The average adult vocabulary is somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000, depending on education and a myriad of other factors. There are over 270,000 valid words in the Scrabble list. Feeling daunted yet?

These two eight-letter words should be in most everyone's knowledge- 'More meagre container'.
    Answer: (Starting letters S C)

7. International Scrabble uses both British English and American English as well as many other varieties. 'Color' and 'colour' are both acceptable, as are 'grey' and 'gray'.

Each answer has nine letters and the first word in this question uses the British spelling-'Authenticates Spanish women'.
    Answer: (Starting letters N S)

8. Statistically, the three most common 7-letter anagrams are 'otarine', relating to an eared seal, 'etaerio', a many-seeded fruit and 'arenite', a sedimentary rock.

Your 10-letter challenge is- 'Family lineages opposition'.
    Answer: (Starting letters A R)

9. This pair of eleven-letter words actually contains a Z. Be careful with your spelling.

'Treats (like milk), the upper back muscles.'
    Answer: (Starting letters P T)

10. Twelve-letter words are very uncommon on a Scrabble board, but the first word in this answer is not beyond the realms of possibility. The spelling is British English.

Solve this one, if you can- 'Government-owned salt removal'.
    Answer: (Starting letters N D)
