1. As the film opens, poor Buster has a problem. What is it?
    He can't find his pants.

2. The most famous part of the opening scene isn't Buster's problem. It's the one-room house he shares with Big Joe. Just about everything serves double duty. What does the bed convert to when Buster pushes it up against the wall?

3. Buster and Big Joe saunter out of the house, then run to greet Sybil -- with Buster tripping Big Joe and climbing atop his prone form. Sybil's farmer father (played by Keaton's real life father, Joe Keaton), breaks up the fight and scolds Sybil. She revenges herself on him by baking him a cream pie, which Luke the Dog helps himself to. Seeing Luke's foamy snout, Buster assumes Luke is rabid, and takes off running, with Luke in hot pursuit. How does Big Joe react to all this?
    He goes to the drug store and buys first aid supplies.
    He tries to catch Luke with a fishing net.
    He takes advantage of Buster's busy state to horn in on Sybil.
    He runs around yelling for help.

6. As Sybil and Farmer Joe are being reconciled after their mishap, Buster moseys into view with Luke. At the sight of beefcake Buster in his skivvies, Sybil is bowled over into Farmer Joe's arms. Buster recalls his unseemly state, and takes off running. Joe drops Sybil and takes off in hot pursuit. How does Buster manage to lose his pursuer?
    Farmer Joe trips over Luke.
    Buster just runs a lot faster.
    Farmer Joe plows headlong into Big Joe.
    Buster grabs hold of a passing car.


7. Buster solves two problems -- his near-nakedness and his need to hide from Farmer Joe -- by putting on a scarecrow's clothes and impersonating the scarecrow. This enables him to overhear Big Joe's proposal to Sybil -- along with her rejection. Dejected, Big Joe hides his face in his hands. Buster quickly kisses Sybil then reverts to being a scarecrow. How does Sybil react?
    She's freaked out and runs away.
    She recognizes Buster and diverts Big Joe's attention so Buster can get away.
    She thinks Joe kissed her, so she slaps him.
    She runs to get her father.


8. The two Joes pause near Scarecrow Buster. What does Buster do?
    He ties their shirt tails together.
    He keeps gradually moving closer and closer to the corn.
    He kicks them repeatedly, while they blame each other.
    He knocks their hats off, while they blame each other.


9. Big Joe and Farmer Joe chase Buster into and through a field of corn. Buster runs out of the cornfield and comes to the stream. How does he cross it?

    He climbs a tree, which bends under his weight and allows him to cross.


10. How does Buster end up proposing to Sybil?
    She yanks him behind a haystack to help him hide, and he asks her to marry him.

    He kneels down to tie his shoe, and she mistakes this for kneeling to propose.
    He plows into her and knocks her over, and proposes as they disentangle themselves from each other.


11. Buster's first plan for eloping involves him and Sybil taking off on horseback. There's only one problem. What is it?
    Buster's horse is lame.
    Buster has mounted a fake horse.
    Buster's saddle slips and leaves him hanging upside-down under the horse.
    Buster's horse is drinking from a trough and refuses to budge.


12. Sybil stops to wait for Buster. He runs to catch up, only to fail again in his attempt to gallop away with his girl. What goes wrong this time?
    Buster mounts successfully, but the horse stops dead when they reach the creek, and both Buster and Sybil fly off over its head into the water.
    He leaps onto the horse but knocks Sybil off.
    He runs to leap onto the horse, but the horse moves and he misses.
    Sybil dismounts to wait, and the horse runs away.


13. Big Joe and Farmer Joe enlist the help of the man whose horse Sybil has taken. What goes wrong when they launch their pursuit?
    Big Joe's weight tips the man's car over backward.
    They can't get Big Joe onto a horse with his splinted leg.
    Big Joe trips the horse's owner with his crutch.
    All three men try to steer the car, and end up steering it into a tree.


14. Buster and Sybil do succeed in their quest to get married. Where does the ceremony take place?
    On a moving motorcycle and sidecar

15. The movie ends with Buster and Sybil pronounced man and wife. What do we see last?
    Buster and Sybil embrace in the river, and Buster spits out a stream of water.
    Buster is about to kiss Sybil, but Luke the Dog interposes himself and gets the kiss instead.
    Buster is about to kiss the bride, when the Joes stumble into them and knock them into the lake.
    Buster kisses the bride. Fade to black.
