On this trip, one ephemeral, or short-lifer, came along with us. I don't remember his name but I recall that he held a political position of some importance at the time. 5. I have known my share of self-aware computers in my lifetime. One of my fondest memories is of Minerva, who decided to become flesh-and-blood after helping me with some of my memoirs. Before she crossed over though, she duplicated her memories into a computer installed in my ship, which was also a self-aware computer. This computer eventually became the operations manager for all of Tellus Tertius. The little imp nagged me constantly so I shouldn't have any problems recalling her name. 7. Although some people believe in "Better a dead hero than a live coward" I prefer to be a live hero. But, there have been times when I've put myself in mortal danger for someone I love or a cause I believed in. One of these times was when I went to war to prove to my love (and my mother) Maureen Johnson that I was no traitor or coward. This was one of the many wars that the United States was engaged in during the time that I was there disguised as Theodore Bronson. I was a corporal in that war and durn near lost my life except for the valiant rescue operations by the Time Corp. Unfortunately, there were so many wars during that time that I can't remember exactly which one it was. Please help me refresh my fading memory. 8. While the Families and I were fleeing persecusion in the New Frontiers I became very fond of a "young" lady named Mary Sperling. After we landed on the planet orbiting star PK3722 we met the inhabitants, which we dubbed the "Little People." Unfortunately, when we left this planet Mary was unable to continue with us. I know there was a reason I didn't like but I can't recall what it was. She was killed by the "Little People" She telepathically joined with the "Little People" She deserted the ship and lived by herself on the planet She committed suicide

10. Finally, during my over-long lifetime I have had but one true love. She was an ephemeral that I met as a child on the frontier planet "New Beginnings". My love for her was so great that I decided to homestead with her instead of returning to my ship to continue on my trade routes. I also named my private space yacht after her many, many years later - the same ship which helped me to go back in time for some wonderful adventures.
