1. I start my tour in Lisbon, Portugal. I arrive on the first Friday in June. Close to Lisbon in the city of Santarem, I attend the Feira Nacional de Agricultura (National Agricultural Fair). During the fair I am a spectator at the famous endurance horseback ride that is held there every year. What is the name of the ride? 2. After beautiful Lisbon, I traveled to the lovely city of Seville, Spain. My favorite place was the Palacio de la Condesa de Lebriga. This beautiful home is known for its ancient Roman mosaic tiles. The most famous mosaic floor in the home features a Roman god as its centerpiece. He was the god of flocks and shepherds. 3. I arrive in Monaco on June 23rd, just in time for their celebration of Saint John's Day. At the beginning of the celebration the royal family attend a church service at St. John's Chapel. After the service, with the town's people gathered in the Palace Square, two of the Prince's footmen perform a traditional task. What do they do? they announce the arrival of the royal family to the square they ring bells during the singing of the national anthem they leave the traditional offering of fruit at the base of the statue of St John with two torches, they set a bonfire ablaze

4. After leaving Monaco, I spend sometime in the south of France. I visit the beautiful little village of Aigne. This town is most known for what? it is birthplace of Monet it is the only town in France where it is against the law to eat meat its festival of lights held on Bastille Day it is shaped like a snail

5. Everyone knows the Leaning Tower of Pisa. However, in my visit to Pisa, I discovered another beautiful building. It is the Chiesa della Spina. What gave this church its unusual name? the building holds the spines of three saints the merchant who rebuilt it, purchased a thorn from Jesus' crown of thorns the church is shaped like a spine the church is covered with roses and other thorny bushes

6. After visiting Pisa, I travel to Salzburg, Austria. Here I visit the birthplace of Joseph Mohr. Joseph Mohr would do something in the year 1816, that would forever make him famous. What did he do? he invented the Viennese Waltz he wrote the words for "Silent Night". he shot german ruler, King Ludwig III he made the first Vienna Sausage

7. I next traveled to the lovely city of Prague. It was at the Baroque Kaunicky Palace that I view the works of the "father of the French Art Nouveau" moment. Whose work do I see? Kazinsky Chevolousky Rene Lalique Alphonse Mucha Jean Paul Lamont

8. I arrived in Wroclaw, Poland the last part of June. I was sorry to hear that I had missed an event which took place in May. 9. I decide to head to Estonia's "Summer Capital". What resort town did I go to? Parnu Tallinn Narva Tartu

10. I decided to take the ferry over to Finland. Finland is a country where one can really enjoy nature. In the north, the reindeer population is larger than the human population. I decided to go bird watching in the boggy region. What bird was I unlikely to spot there? Taiga Bean Goose Whooper Swan Common Crane Black-throated Diver

11. After visiting Finland, I decide to head to Sweden. I decided to take advantage of the midnight sun, and climb Sweden's highest peak. What mountain did I climb? Storfallet Gevsjostrommama Jamtland Kebnekaise

12. After Sweden, I decided to visit Denmark. Here I was given two traditional breakfast foods that are only found in Denmark. The names of the foods were ymerdrys and ollebrod. Each share two of the same ingredients. What were the ingredients? rye bread and sugar bananas and beans fish and cereal chocolate and maple syrup

13. I heard about a beautiful waterfall in Norway, so I headed that way. The most famous waterfall in Norway is named what? Fragner Gelio Voringfoss Bryggen

14. After Norway, I decided to go to a place where they spoke English, so that I could finally understand the language. I headed to Scotland. I decided to go to Lochalash. Boy, was I surprise when I got there and found that in that area of Scotland 24% of the residents speak Gaelic as their first language. People kept coming up to me and say "Clamor a tha sibh?". What were they saying? Are you are tourist? Are you lost? How are you? Would you like to have a pint with me?

15. I decided to spend the last day of my journey in London. While there I visited the Baden-Powell House in Kensington. The home was made a museum by Queen Elizabeth in the 1960's, because of the accomplishment of its former resident. What did Robert Baden-Powell do to deserve this honor? he was Prime Minister during WWI he invented the airplane engine he started the Boy Scouts he was the official portrait artist of the Royal Family
