Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Scorpius is in what mode, according to John?

Answer: Captain Queeg

John tells Aeryn that the wormhole project will be stopped by Commandant Grazyza in a few days and Aeryn says that means they have succeeded. John says no, "Scorpius is in Captain Queeg mode. Somebody's stolen his strawberries, and he's not going to let his pet project die." Captain Queeg is the obsessive and cruel captain in "The Caine Mutiny."
2. What game do John and Harvey NOT play in the WWII setting as they talk?

Answer: Dominoes

The two talk while playing chess, then checkers, then Go Fish. John asks Harvey if Scorpius would carry out his threat on Earth if John follows his new plan to blow up the Command Carrier. Harvey tells him, "I would never underestimate Scorpius's resolve for retribution, John."
3. Why does Crais betray everyone?

Answer: He doesn't

Crais goes to Scorpius and tells him of John and the others' plan to destroy the Carrier. Scorpius locks everyone up, except Aeryn, who Crais said wasn't part of the plan (why Scorpius believed that I will never know). John attacks Crais, but Aeryn explains that it is part of his plan to get into Talyn and then starburst, which will cause the Carrier to implode slowly, giving everyone on board time to evacuate. Unfortunately, it also means Crais and Talyn will be destroyed.
4. John calls Co-Kura Strappa what?

Answer: Harrison

John says, "Yo, Harrison, get your shoes on. We're going on a little trip to my module." This is an inside joke about someone series creator Rockne O'Bannon knew named Harrison who never wore shoes.
5. What does John call Grayza?

Answer: Commandant Cleavage

John calls her that when trying to convince Scorpius to ride in the module with him and into a wormhole, saying "If I don't kick this project in the [butt] before Commandant Cleavage gets back, she's going to execute me anyway, right?"
6. When John and Scorpius are in the wormhole, John says it's a what kind of moment?

Answer: Kodak

Scorpius says, "This is without description, John" as they fly through the wormhole. John replies, "It's a real Kodak moment."
7. John references a quote from 'Star Wars' in which line?

Answer: Flying through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, farm boy

When the wormhole becomes unstable, Scorpius asks John what's causing it, and John replies, "Flying through wormholes ain't like dusting crops, farm boy. It takes a little finesse." This line is a play on when Han Solo tells Luke Skywalker, "Flying through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy."
8. What are Crais' last words?

Answer: Talyn, starburst

Crais gets on a comms channel and speaks so everyone on the Carrier can hear his last words, especially Scorpius. He says, "Scorpius, I am just making my final goodbyes. I am standing in your heart, and I'm about to squeeze... You are the most repellent of creatures, Scorpius. You weren't born into Peacekeepers; you weren't conscripted against your will. You chose to be one.

The last time I left this ship, my ship, I did so under a veil of secrecy. You forced that situation. You took away my command. You stole my life from me! Well this time, Scorpius, I am not leaving quietly!" Then he takes a moment and tells Talyn, "Talyn... starburst." Talyn starbursts and the Peacekeeper Carrier starts to implode due to the build up of energy in a confined space, which is also what destroys Talyn and Crais.
9. John calls Scorpius what at the end?

Answer: Gandhi

As the Carrier falls to pieces and everyone is fleeing, John and Scorpius have a face off. John asks Scorpius, "Tell me...Gandhi...you still goin' after Earth?" Scorpius replies, "To what purpose? Vengeance against you? The only vengeance I cared about is no longer within my grasp!"
10. What is the final image of this episode?

Answer: John writing the wormhole formula on his arm

A sad ending, despite the victory, because everything is about to change it seems. Jool, crying, does tell Pilot that she may not be the only one leaving to a saddened Pilot. D'Argo packs up for his mission to find Macton, the Peacekeeper who killed his wife, and Chiana talks to joining the Nebari resistance while Rygel prepares to win back his throne. The last image, though, is John writing in silence, pieces of a formula that are all on his arms and hands, while Aeryn sits next to him, silent as well.
