Being an Aussie, I remember the next song is considered an Australian anthem. There's something about "the last plane out of Sydney". Now if I could just remember the name.
Now what was next ? A song about some sort of flower... I think Bette Midler may have sung it.
Several artists released versions of the next song, I think, and I remember rewriting the last verse as a teenage folk singer - deleting references to "redwood forests" and "Gulf Stream Waters" and inserting "karri bushland" and "King Sound waters" to Australianise it. Oh dear! What was it called?
Puff the Magic Dragon
This Land is Your Land
Leaving on a Jet Plane
