Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which celebrity is known for countless hits and is an American composer and pianist?

Answer: Burt Bacharach

His music compositions appear worldwide. "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" (1969) is one of my favorites. The song was originally in the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969) and the song has been inserted into various movies including "Forrest Gump" (1994). Burt was born on May 12, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri.

4. This celebrity was well known for his role of Lucas McCain on the 1958 TV series "The Rifleman". Can you name him?

Answer: Chuck Connors

Lucas McCain was a very efficient gunman with his Winchester. Connors has many career credits. One of his last was in the 1991 TV movie "The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw" in which he reprised his role as Lucas McCain, which I think is quite fitting and a memorable way to end his on-screen career. Connors played sports before becoming an actor.

He played for the Chicago Cubs, the Boston Celtics and the Montreal Royals. Kevin Connors was born on April 10, 1921. He died on November 10, 1992.
5. Do you remember the celebrity who appeared as C. F. Cole in the 1994 movie remake of "Miracle on 34th Street"?

Answer: William Windom

The chairman of Coles department store (Windom) was presented by staff with the idea what their Santa told the parents - where to find gift items, even if it meant finding them somewhere else! The company chairman was going to abandon his Santa employee in his time of need, but was persuaded to change his mind and stand behind Santa with "Do You Believe in Santa Clause?" Windom did an excellent job of portraying this dignified character. Windom's credits start in the 1950s and cover over 50 years.

Some of these are TV series "Medical Center" (1969), "Family" (1976), "Magnum P. I." (1980), "The Greatest American Hero" (1981), "St. Elsewhere" (1982), "JAG" (1995) and "Star Trek: New Voyages" (2004). He was born on September 28, 1923.
6. Who co-starred with Don Johnson on a hit TV series for five years?

His voice was commonly heard in animated movies such as "Oliver and Company" (1988), "All Dogs Go To Heaven" (1989) and "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" (1991). Dom was born on August 1, 1933.
8. Which celebrity portrayed An-Mei Hsu in the 1993 movie "The Joy Luck Club"?

Answer: Lisa Lu
