6. Country music legend George Jones was married for about six years to another famous country artist. Who was this lady, known for standing by her man?

From Quiz FunTrivia Celebrities Mix: Vol 12

Answer: Tammy Wynette

Tammy Wynette was already a successful performer when she met George Jones, who was 11 years her senior. In 1968, Wynette and Jones divorced their respective spouses (Don Chapel and Shirley Corley), and got married the following year. Sadly, Jones was dealing with severe alcohol problems, and at one point spent 10 days in a padded cell after a drinking spree. Though the couple had a daughter, Tamala Georgette, in 1970, and often toured together, Jones's drinking and erratic behaviour eventually led to the end of their marriage. Wynette and Jones divorced in 1975, but continued to record together for years.
