Shatner played Captain James T. Kirk in "Star Trek" for 79 episodes, as well as seven movies, with a Saturn Award for "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" (1983) being the only award other than the Razzies that he won. He also played Sergeant Thomas Jefferson "T. J." Hooker in the cop show "T.J. Hooker" for 90 episodes.

He has had number one singles on both the UK and USA charts, and was the first person to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the domestic box office. James Darrell Edwards III is better known as Agent J from the "Men In Black" (1997, 2002, and 2012) franchise and Captain Steven Hiller was his character in "Independence Day" (1996).

Dafoe is a talented actor with many varied roles, from a sergeant in "Platoon" (1986) to The Green Goblin in "Spider-Man" (2002), or from Jesus in "The Last Temptation of Christ" (1988) to voicing Gill in "Finding Nemo" (2003). In 2000, he became the first actor to be nominated for an Oscar for playing a vampire for his role as Max Schrek in "Shadow of the Vampire" (2000).

John "Duke" Wayne made over 140 movies, many of them westerns or war films and won Best Actor Oscar and Golden Globe in 1970 for his portrayal of Rooster Cogburn in "True Grit" (1969). The plot in "Legend Of The Lost" (1957) concerns Wayne and Loren searching for a lost city of treasure in the Sahara desert but despite the story line and the actors, the film flopped, grossing just over $2 million at the box office, compared to the year's top movie "Bridge Over The River Kwai" (1957) which grossed over $17 million.

Wayne won the Tony for playing Og the leprechaun in "Finian's Rainbow" on Broadway and also appeared in the Monroe movies "As Young as You Feel" (1951), "We're Not Married!" (1952), "O. Henry's Full House" (1952) and "How to Marry a Millionaire" (1953).

Among his other awards, Ferrell has also won an MTV Award for best screen kiss, when he kissed Sacha Baron Cohen, a Razzie with Nicole Kidman for worst screen combo, a Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and a James Joyce Award from University College, Dublin. Ferrell's first major role was in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" (1997) before going on to star in such hits as "Elf" (2003) and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" (2004).

He has played cowbell on versions of "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Queens of the Stone Age and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Brady first appeared in the UK version of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" in 1998, before becoming a regular on the American version and has also hosted TV shows " Don't Forget the Lyrics!" and "Let's Make a Deal". Aside from "Kinky Boots", he has also appeared on stage playing the part of Billy Flynn in the Broadway show "Chicago" and in "Rent" as Tom Collins.

Arnett has an almost instantly recognizable gravelly voice and in 2014, became only the second Canadian to play Batman, when he voiced the part for "The Lego Movie", a role he reprised in "The Lego Batman Movie" (2017). The first Canadian to play the part was Bruce Greenwood in the animated movie "Batman: Under the Red Hood" from 2010.

In the early 1950s, Geer refused to testify before the House Committee on Un-American Activities, a House of Representatives investigation into people believed to have Communist sympathies, and as a result, was blacklisted by Hollywood. His career didn't really take off again until the mid 1960s, and by 1972, he had found his famous Grandpa Zebulon Tyler Walton role, which he played for the first six seasons of the show.

In 1951, he started the Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, California, an open air theatre for blacklisted actors and folk musicians, where he combined his loves of acting and botany by ensuring that every plant mentioned in the works of Shakespeare was grown there. Geer?s ashes were scattered there following his death in 1978.

Answer: William Hurt

Hurt won only one of the nominations, for "Kiss of the Spider Woman" in 1985, and was beaten for his roles in "Children Of A Lesser God" (1986) and "Broadcast News" (1987) by Paul Newman in "The Color Of Money" and Michael Douglas in "Wall Street" respectively.

In 1988, he was the first ever recipient of UCLA's Spencer Tracy Award, given to actors, whose work, in the opinion of the voting committee, "embodies the professional spirit of Mr. Tracy, an actor who many have considered one of the finest actors in film history."
