Located in the state of Arizona, the saguaro cacti can grow up to 50 feet (15 meters) tall and live for up to 200 years. Saguaro cacti do produce the Arizona state wildflower from late April through June. The generic name, carnegiea gigantea honors Andrew Carnegie.
