Cornelius Smith, Jr. got his first acting job when he took on the role of Frankie in December of 2007. When we first saw Cornelius as Frankie, he went by the name of "Quentin" and was found in the woods around the area where Zach and Greenlee were trapped in a bomb shelter. Eventually, Frankie started using his first name (Quentin is his middle name). Cornelius Smith, Jr. was born in 1982 in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Cass Tech High School in 2000.

When Olive was in the role of Frankie, his character was romantically paired with Simone Torres, played by Terri Ivens. Simone died in December of 2006.
