Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This first Canadian season of "The Traitors" featured no celebrity contestants.

Answer: False

Twenty Canadian contestants were brought forth to a lavish manor home in Quebec where they embarked on a quest to either root out the Traitors amongst them or evade capture from the Faithfuls. Upon arriving and meeting each other, they were brought in for interviews with host Karine Vanasse to determine their capabilities as Traitors. Ten of these contestants were in previous reality TV shows; ten were civilian players. All of them vied for up to $100,000 CAD.
2. How many Traitors did Karine select at the start of the game?

Answer: Three

In one of the earliest orders of business, the contestants headed to the round table and Karine selected three players to become Traitors, allowing the discussions to proceed naturally from there.
Melissa B., Kuzie, and Mike wouldn't know who else was a Traitor until after the first mission when they convened in the Traitors' Conclave. There they would murder someone different every night...at least until the second half of the game.
3. On Day 3, the first Traitor was Banished from the game. Which was it?

Answer: Melissa B.

After three hard-fought days, Melissa B. couldn't shake the attention she'd taken on from the very first time around the round table. It meant that on Day 3, when the seventeen remaining players sat down for their second banishment, she was in the crosshairs of everyone-- even her fellow Traitors.

The Faithfuls would subsequently go on a dry spell, unable to remove another Traitor from the game until Day 8. That night, Kuzie and Mike would receive the option to recruit a new Traitor or continue their Murders.

They chose the latter.
4. How many Shields were up for grabs over the course of the game?

Answer: Four

Day 4 was the first opportunity at which players could vie for the Shield, a game mechanic that would protect its possessor from Murder if it was in their hands. To get it, players had the chance to visit the armoury resulting from strong showings in challenges, and even then, several players would get the opportunity to search the boxes there for the prize. Kuzie got the first Shield on Day 4, Mickey on Day 5, and Kevin on Day 6, though Kevin was Banished on Night 6, rendering it useless). The Shield was also available on Day 7, but no one went for it.
5. At the halfway point of the competition, the Traitors were required to put three players on Death Row. Who was not amongst them?

Answer: Travon

On Night 5, Karine informed Kuzie and Mike that there would be no Murder or Recruitment. Instead, they would need to select three players to place on Death Row, making them and only them eligible for Murder after the next round table. They elected to place only Faithfuls into the running for this, choosing Kevin, Mary, and Melissa A. Over the next two days, all three would be eliminated from the game by varying means, one with a Shield in-hand.
6. On Day 6, which player was removed from the game?

Answer: Dom

On Day 6, all of the remaining contestants were brought together before the mission to be informed, by Karine, that there was an issue that occurred the previous night. Citing the integrity of the game to be of the utmost importance, she let the others know that Dom, who was playing as a Faithful, had broken one of the undisclosed rules of the competition.

As such, he was removed from the game, leaving only eleven to compete.
7. Day 8 featured a unique twist at a dinner party. There, which of these happened?

Answer: The contestants won $10,000

On Day 8, only seven players remained. After a Mission out in the yard, the contestants were granted a celebratory feast with Karine for dinner on the terrace, but there, she gave a proposition. Players would be able to vote to Banish that evening, winning $10,000 for the prize pot if they eliminated a Traitor, but losing $10,000 if they eliminated a Faithful. If any person voted Murder instead, there would be no Banishment, but a Murder would occur (with no money being added to the pot). All seven chose to Banish, and they succeeded in eliminating Kuzie from the game, winning the extra money.
8. Which player was Blackmailed, forced to become a Traitor near the end of the game?

Answer: Mickey

After Kuzie's elimination, Mike, the sole remaining Traitor, was mandated not to Murder another player. Instead, Mike needed to Blackmail another player, meaning he had to give the ultimatum to join him as a new Traitor or be Murdered. Mike elected to bring Mickey into the fold as the only non-original Traitor of the game, forcing him to swap allegiances in the penultimate round of the game.

It didn't go well for Mickey; even Mike turned on him at the proceeding round table, eliminating him with the others, blaming Mickey's lack of solid plan.
9. During the game, there were eight missions that would earn the players money totalling more than $100,000 CAD. Did the final prize total surpass half that amount?

Answer: Yes

The contestants had ten missions throughout the game, each accounting for a large sum of money to be added to the overall prize pot which could have been worth up to $100,00 CAD when all was said and done, and of these ten, they maxed out their earnings on only two.

This being said, other opportunities emerged wherein players could grab more (the dinner party, for instance). When the game ended, the contestants ended up vying for a grand total of $94,500 CAD, either won by the Traitor(s) or split by the Faithful(s).
10. Who of these won the prize at the end of the season?

Answer: The Traitors

After a final round table wherein the group Banished Travon from the game, the final four contestants headed to the Endgame segment of the competition where they would need to unanimously opt to end the game or, otherwise, continue banishing until only two people remained. Right off the bat, the group voted to Banish, eliminating Donna upon the vote.

The final three opted to Banish one more time after this, with Mike and Gurleen eliminating Leroy right at the end. It meant that the final two were Mike and Gurleen, and since Mike was a Traitor the entire time, he walked away with all of the prize money, leaving Gurleen with nothing.
