Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This season of "The Traitors" commenced with Alan selecting how many Traitors of the twenty-one contestants at the castle?

Answer: Two

After a dramatic arrival at the castle, the twenty-one contestants were introduced (or reunited) over drinks in the yard before Alan arrived to welcome them to the lengthy game of deceit and murder that lay ahead of them. After being informed that they would be competing for up to $250,000 USD, he brought them into the castle, had them seated at the Round Table, and selected his Traitors.

This season, he started with only two-- Dan and Phaedra-- but he informed the group that the undisclosed number of Traitors he selected would enlist one more to their side upon meeting in the Traitor Turret that night.

The game was afoot.
2. On Day 1, the players were informed that the Traitors would enlist someone to their side. Who did they choose?

Answer: Parvati

Dan and Phaedra's invitation ended up in Parvati's hands that very night, and upon opening her letter, she accepted the enlistment without discussion. She subsequently met them, in their roles, for the first time on Night 2 (after the first Round Table).

In the meantime, Dan and Phaedra also elected to Murder Johnny 'Bananas' off the jump, throwing people into chaos. With Peppermint also under consideration for murder, it wasn't hard to take advantage of peoples' uncertainty to have her Banished first. All according to plan.
3. Which player was Murdered 'in plain sight', having sipped from the poisoned chalice on Night 3?

Answer: Ekin-Su

After Maks' Banishment on Night 3, the Traitors were informed that there would be no meeting in the Traitor's Turret. Instead, they would need to Murder in plain sight, making use of a Poisoned Chalice hidden in a series of Shakespearean books in the castle library. Whoever they could get to drink from the chalice would feel the effect of a slow-acting poison that would, inevitably, leave them dead...just not when they expected.

Parvati managed to execute the plan with complete non-chalantness, poisoning Ekin-Su. She was revealed to be the victim during the next mission, with all other players not expecting the her (voting MJ as most likely to die) and, thus, not winning $20,000 for the prize pot.
4. Which contestant voluntarily left the game?

Answer: Deontay

After two wrong Round Tables, Deontay started to feel the stress of the competition, believing that he did not have it in him to keep Banishing Faithful contestants time and time again. Although the show glazed over his absence, Deontay was not involved in the season past the third episode. Post-show, Deontay stated that he removed himself from the game due to the undue strain it took on his mental health.
5. Over the course of the game, how many contestants were added into the cast?

Answer: One

Although the game started with twenty-one players, it took four Murders before Alan invited one additional player to the game-- one who's played it before. Returning after making the final five in the first season, Kate was introduced into the competition when only thirteen players remained, joining the contestants after the bird call mission after they reached the round table.

The other players were informed that they could not vote for her at her first round table, nor could she be Murdered on her first night.

She entered the game as a Faithful.
6. In this season, Shields were found throughout missions. Were any of these Shields successful in directly blocking a Murder?

Answer: Yes

In this season, Shields were not collected from the castle armory by specific players. Instead, contestants could claim Shields, often in plain sight during missions, to protect them from Murder for the subsequent night (but not Banishment). Although it's clear that collecting Shields allowed Traitors to make choices that navigated around this immunity, Bergie (and Trishelle) managed to snag a Shield by secret during the fifth mission.

When the Traitors attempted to remove Bergie from the game, he showed up back at breakfast the next morning.
7. An offer was sent to Peter following the first Traitor Banishment. Did he accept the offer?

Answer: No

After the fifth round table resulted in Dan's Banishment and the near unveiling of the Traitors as a whole, Parvati and Phaedra were given the option of either committing another Murder or sending an offer of recruitment to a Faithful. The pair elected to send the offer to Peter, believing him to be the one masterminding the effort to get them removed from the game.

He decided to refuse the offer and continue the game as a Faithful. He lasted until the seventh round table until he was Banished by majority.
8. Instead of heading to the round table on Night 7, the contestants headed out to the woods. There, players were rewarded with protection from Murder. How many were protected on this night?

Answer: Seven

Kevin and Sandra won Shields at the Day 7 mission, and that allowed them to start a chain of safety at that night's unexpected event. Taking the players out to the woods, Alan informed them that five more players would be spared from Murder. Sandra and Kevin chose to save Shereé, and she chose Phaedra...who chose CT...who chose John...who ended the night protecting Peter.

It left Parvati and Phaedra to choose between Trishelle, Kate, Bergie, and MJ. They murdered Bergie, and Parv was Banished at the next round table, already under suspicion.
9. One Faithful was given an ultimatum to become a Traitor (which they took). Who was recruited via these means late in the game?

Answer: Kate

With Phaedra being the only Traitor left in the Traitor Turret after the sixth round table, the game rules required that she issue an ultimatum, meeting them in the dungeon to offer her the role of Traitor or, else, remove herself from the game as the night's Murder victim. Kate ultimately took the offer, becoming the only Traitor recruited after the first day.

She would end up the only Traitor to make it to the finale as a result.
10. The game was ultimately won by which of these?

Answer: The Faithfuls

When it finally came time for the finalists to stand before the fire at the end of the game, only Kate remained as a Traitor. With suspicion already on her, and with a vote from her to end the game without banishment, her fate was sealed, leaving three Faithfuls to stand at the finish line.

This being said, CT and Trishelle elected to Banish one more time, leading to a near-stalemate in which MJ was finally eliminated as a Faithful. With this done, CT and Trishelle voted to end the game and split the grand prize earnings of $208,100 USD.
