During this season he led the NHL in goals scored with 35. Newsy Lalonde of the Montreal Canadians was the point leader that season with 43. While Dye was able to lead his team in goals that season, unfortunately he was unable to lead his team to victory to the Stanley Cup final as the Toronto St. Pats were shut out by the Ottawa Senators during the O'Brien Cup final (this series was played to determine who would play the Vancouver Millionaires to challenge for the Stanley Cup).
