8. On which cartoon series would you find the following characters: Mudsy, April, Skip, Augie, Elmo, and Boo?

From Quiz Cartoons of the 1970s

Answer: The Funky Phantom

Mudsy, April, Skip, Augie, Elmo, and Boo (along with Farmer Higgins and Mr Carter), were all a part of "The Funky Phantom" show, which aired only one season in 1971. 'Mudsy', or Johnathan Wellington Muddlemore, was a cowardly Revolutionary War soldier who hid in a grandfather clock, along with his cat named Boo to escape a British regiment. Unfortunately, he and Boo were trapped inside the clock for 200 years until they were unwittingly 'rescued' by a group of teen-aged mystery solvers. Shortening Muddlemore's name to 'Mudsy', the group went about solving mysteries a la "Scooby Doo" gang.

"Schoolhouse Rock" was an interstitial programming series of about three minutes an episode that ran from 1973-1984 in the original series. It was an educational series that taught grammar, science, economics, history, math, and American civics all through catchy tunes. One of the most popular tunes was "I'm Just A Bill", in a 1976 episode in which "Bill" (an actual bill trying to get passed) sings about how a bill becomes a law. Some of the lyrics are: "I'm just a bill. Yes, I'm only a bill. And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill."

In 1972, "The Osmonds" debuted on Saturday mornings as part of the ABC new fall lineup. The show followed the adventures of the pop music group, The Osmond Brothers. It used the same format as "The Jackson 5ive" cartoon, which had premiered a season earlier on the same network with the family traveling the world, getting into trouble, and getting out of it by performing at least one of their popular songs of the day. The Osmonds were made up of six brothers, Alan, Wayne, Jay, Merrill, Donny, and Jimmy, who was the youngest; their sister, Marie, was not a part of the show. "The Osmonds" lasted only 17 episodes.

"The Grape Ape Show" was about a 40-foot childlike gorilla. He always showed agreement by saying "Grape Ape, Grape Ape" after someone said something. 14. This Saturday morning cartoon werewolf had only one tooth. What was his name?

From Quiz Cartoons of the 1970s

"Fangface" followed the adventures of teens Puggsy, Kim, Biff, and Sherman as they confronted monsters and other villains each week.
