1. In the first level, 'Isengard', we see the production of the main Isengard army. Who is the hero in this mission?

Lurtz comes along in the mission 'Amon Hen'. It is after that mission that you can first utilize more than one army.

2. When you play a certain "race" (as in Mordor, Isengard, Rohan and Gondor) each "race" has building foundations that are symbolized by a certain shape. What is that shape?

Answer: It depends on which "race" you play

Mordor uses an eye foundation, Isengard a hand foundation, Rohan a horse head foundation and Gondor uses a tree foundation. Also, when playing elves in the Good campaign, a symbol sort of like a leaf appears.

3. How many trolls are there in Moria in the campaign mode?

There is one in a separate chamber, one in the the main hall, and one in Balin's tomb area. There are also goblins in Moria.

The main walls are only in maps with the castle setting (smaller walls are in a base when built on a camp, but they are just like little barriers, not a fully-fledged defensive position) and can be vital to your success. Put lots of archers on the walls, and when the enemy comes near, the archers will shoot them down quickly.

5. What is the name of the hero that Saruman sends out to kill the Fellowship on the campaign mode?

Answer: Lurtz

Lurtz is the Uru-kai hero Saruman dispatched to kill the Fellowship. He causes moderate damage in hand to hand battling and also in his abilities.

6. Some battlefields have ruins on them. Some also have ruined towers. Now, one might say "what use are they?" However, they are important structures. What bonus do they give you?

Answer: Archers can go inside and shoot down at enemies.

These towers provide an amazing defensive position. It can withstand heavy assault from ground forces. However, be aware that one units are moved inside the tower, they cannot be moved back out. Once the tower is destroyed, so are the archers inside.

7. Each "race" has special powers to use both against the enemy and to help your "race". How do you get these Power Points?

Powers become increasingly more expensive as the earlier ones are bought. Powers that you have already bought appear on the left-side of the screen. Some powers don't need to be clicked on to be activated. Just be sure you press the right button when casting one!

Lurtz is a moderately strong evil hero of Isengard. This ability shoots an arrow into an enemy, causing them to be stationary and unable to defend themselves. Causes moderate damage.

In a skirmish you can get different heroes for different nations. Like Rohan and Gondor. For the campaign you can get Aragorn, Gandalf, Boromir, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Sam, Theoden, Eomer, Eowyn, Faramir, and Treebeard.

10. There are places on the map which are called "Settlements". Each "race" can build at least one building on a Settlement. Rohan can build an additional structure on a Settlement that no other "race" can. What is that structure called?

Answer: An entmoot

When an entmoot is built, four ents rise up and you gain control of them. Unfortunately, they have a time limit. However, you can buy new ents or Treebeard out of the entmoot, and they are not timed. If attacked by ents, use fire arrows.

11. Isengard has a horrible weapon, the explosive mine. The mine-carriers place the mine on the ground, and then disappear. The mine, however, stays. Flaming arrows, as well as what else, can set it off?

After the mine is lit, the whole area around the place where the mine is explodes. The damage is devastating. Unfortunately, however, the berserker or archers (with flaming arrows) that set the mine of are killed. If destroyed by a non-flaming weapon, it will break into harmless pieces of metal.

Aragorn has the "Summon the dead" ability. It summons a small group of undead armies that can only be destroyed by a Balrog.

Warriors are not great fighters, but are plentiful. However, they are expensive command-point wise. I usually don't bother building them unless by base or outpost is under attack and I need cheap, quick reinforcements.

We finally part with our dear heroes at Cirith Ungol after Sam saves Frodo from the orcs. From there they continue their journey into Mordor.

The Witch-King is basically an enhanced version of the regular Nazghul. At 3000 more in resources, it can steer its Fellbeast downwards to knock over enemies and pick one up, which it then drops from about 30 feet. It can also shriek to scare away enemy soldiers.

16. What is the ability Gandalf earns on level 10?

At level 10 Gandalf gains the very powerful "Word of Power" ability. It sends a blast of air that circles around Gandalf causing devastating effects to enemies.
