The first Playstation video game console was released in Japan on December 3, 1994. The Playstation console was released in both North America and Europe in September of 1995. Wonton will also fly his spaceship through the area, so knock him out before he has a chance to knock a UFO out.

The Playstation video game console did not have a battery, thus was not a problem with the battery not charging. Many gamers did experience video skipping or ticking noises from these units with the early models of the Playstation video game consoles. The problems came from poorly placed vents on the console which led to overheating inside the console and the warping of the internal plastic parts holding the game CD. The first PlayStation consoles also used a laser unit whose case and all movable parts were made from plastic. Over time, friction and heat caused the plastic lens container to wear out unevenly. Eventually, one side of the lens container became so worn that the laser tilted and was no longer pointing directly at the CD. This tilting would cause data reading errors thus games would not load properly.
