Answer: Diane Ladd

Diane Ladd's career has spanned over 70 years, and she has been nominated for an Oscar (Best Supporting Actress) three times for "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" (1974), "Wild at Heart" (1990), and "Rambling Rose" (1991). Her birthname is somewhat uncertain. According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, it is Thelma Booth Ford. However, the International Movie Database records it as Thelma Marjorie Ford and Wikipedia states it is Marjory Ford.
3. Joyce Frankenberg

Answer: Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour was born in 1951 as Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg. According to an interview with "U.S. Weekly" magazine, she changed her name to Jane Seymour as it was simpler and easier for people to remember.

Two of her memorable roles include that of Solitaire in the James Bond movie, "Live and Let Die" (1973), and Dr Michaela Quinn in the television series, "Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman".
4. Janet Cole

Answer: Kim Hunter

Kim Hunter was born as Janet Cole (1922-2002). She was a renowned actress in film, television and theatre. Hunter won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Stella Kowalski in "A Street Car Named Desire". Her career had a setback in the 1950's when she was blacklisted from radio and television for alleged communist activities by the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA).

Despite lack of evidence, she was accused of being a "communist sympathiser" for her involvement in a world peace symposium in 1949. World peace - what a communistic idea!
5. Clara Ann Fowler

Answer: Patti Page

Patti Page (1927-2013) was an American singer specialising in pop and country music. She had four number-1 hits: "All My Love (Bolero)" (1950), "Tennessee Waltz" (1950), "I Went to Your Wedding" (1952), and "(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window?" (1953).

In later years, she developed drug and alcohol addictions and became involved in a number of abusive relationships. She eventually died of cirrhosis at the age of 44.

Huey Lewis wrote the theme tune for the movie, "Back to the Future", which also featured his hit song, "The Power of Love". "The Power of Love" earned an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song (but lost to "Say You, Say Me" by Lionel Ritchie). Lewis also had a cameo role in the movie.

9. Leslie Townes Hope

A legal document from 1942 records his name as Lester, not Leslie, but the reason for this discrepancy is not known. Over the years, Bob Hope gave various reasons for his adoption of the name "Bob".

In Lawrence Quirk's biography, "Bob Hope: the Road Well-Traveled", it is stated he named himself after the racecar driver Bob Burman. In Richard Gruden's biography, "The Spirit of Bob Hope: One Hundred Years, One Million Laughs", states Bob was chosen because it was a friendly sounding name.
