This was just one of the many collaborations by this duo. They worked on "Batman: Dark Victory", which was a follow-up to "The Long Halloween", and also worked on other famous comic icons, e.g. Superman and Spiderman.

Dent was just putting some extra hours in at the office; unfortunately he got caught and got quite the beating for it!

They agreed on just the opposite. Gordon wanted to bring down Falcone, but he also wanted it to be done by the book. Dent backed him up and so did a reluctant Batman.

They opted for the warm interior of a car instead of the cold exterior of the sidewalk to guard Maroni's. This proved to be a bad choice when they were gunned down and blown up by an excellent shot to the gas tank.
