Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which villain ends up controlling Robinson Park?

Answer: Poison Ivy

Ivy ends up in the park but Clayface (Mark 5) captures her and forces her adopted children to work for him. Batman is looking for one of his secret satellite Bat-Caves and is forced to come to her rescue. He only lets her be if she grows enough fruit and vegetables to feed the remaining population in Gotham City.
2. The Blue Boys incite a gang war between the Street Demonz and who?

Answer: Lo-Boys

The Blue Boys had been holed up in Tricorner but decide to capture Old Gotham - which was currently occupied by both the Street Demonz and the Lo-Boys. Captain Petit successfully plays both sides off against each other and in the confusion, the Blue Boys drive out both gangs.
3. Who runs the M*A*S*H* sector?

Answer: Leslie Thompkins

The M*A*S*H* sector is where the only hospital is located and is also where anyone can come and get treatment, regardless of gang loyalty. It is the sight of a four way battle at one stage between Captain Petit, Killer Croc and Zsasz and Batman.
4. Who does Two-Face hire to assassinate Commissioner Gordon?

Answer: David Cain

Two-Face and the Commissioner become allies in a fight against Penguin. Two-Face makes a sham deal with Penguin to attach Gordon but Two-Face is secretly after Batman's territory. The Penguin is hit hard by Gordon and loses several arms caches. After the dust is settled, the Penguin ends up losing half his land whilst Two-Face doubles the size of his. Gordon discovers just what Two-Face did and decides to cancel their pact. Two-Face doesn't take the Gordon's cancellation of the pact too well and hires David Cain, one of the men who trained Bruce Wayne, to kill Gordon.

However, Cain doesn't realise that his daughter is in the city and she won't let her father go through with the assassination.
5. Harley Quinn is written into the official continuity during the "No Man's Land" saga. After the Joker tries to kill her, who finds Harley in a pile of rubble?

Answer: Poison Ivy

The Joker and Harley Quinn had spent a lot of time together and the Joker realised he might be feeling genuine affection for her. Rather than explore his feelings, he tries to kill Harley by sending her up in a rocket which is programmed to crash. Poison Ivy finds her whilst making deliveries of fruit and vegetables, brings her back to health and gives her a new purpose in life.
6. When Superman first arrives in town, he is forced to battle two villains. Mr Freeze is one, who is the other one?

Answer: The Mad Hatter

People in the Mad Hatter's corner of Gotham City are being forced to pay tribute to his gang. Superman swoops in, defeats him and tries to rebuild the power plant. However, he discovers that Gotham's population just aren't ready to reclaim civilization.
7. What is Bane hired to destroy?

Answer: The Hall of Records

Lex Luthor is trying to buy Gotham on the cheap by falsifying records saying he owned most of the property in the city before the earthquake, and incinerating the Hall of Records will erase all the original records. However, Batman has guessed what Luthor was up to and ensured that genuine copies of the records were saved by Lucius Fox.

He also correctly realised that Luthor was behind the "No Man's Land" order.
8. Who defends Commissioner Gordon during his trial at the hands of Two-Face?

Answer: Harvey Dent

Two-Face, after his gang is destroyed and his territory lost, decides to capture Commissioner Gordon. He puts him on trial for breaking their pact earlier in the No Man's Land saga. Two-Face acts as the prosecution but Gordon, who knows his nemesis has two distinct personalities inside him, asks for Harvey Dent to defend him.

This causes a fierce internal battle within Two-Face and he just can't make a case warranting Gordon's execution. He orders himself to be arrested and Detective Montoya escorts him to jail.
9. The final map produced by Barbara Gordon of "No Man's Land" - how many distinct territories of Gotham City are left?

Answer: 5

They are controlled by: Batman, Joker, Lex Luthor, The Strong Men, The Blue Boys. Although Batman technically claims Robinson Park, Poison Ivy is still in residence so it is nominally independent.
10. Sarah Essen Gordon is shot and killed by the Joker. Joker is shot in the left knee in revenge by Commissioner Gordon.

Answer: True

Batman stands by and says he won't stop the Commissioner from killing the Joker. However, Gordon decides to let the Joker live and takes out his knee instead.
