Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Cinderella, who was most wronged by Prince Charming?

Answer: Cinderella

Because she was his third wife and, assumedly, because Charming had full knowledge of his tendency toward infidelity by that time, Cinderlla claims she herself is the most hurt by his indiscretions. The three women gather for coffee and debate their mutual ex-husband in "Fables" #22, which debuted in 2004.
2. Who kills Ichabod Crane?

Answer: Bigby Wolf

Ichabod was loyal to the Adversary and intended on betraying Fabletown to him. Bigby Wolf and his secret agent, Cinderella, confronted him in France, where Bigby smashed a heavy bust of a headless horseman. These events happened in "Fables" #22, which went on sale in 2004.
3. Dog Company carried out "Operation: Nursemaid".

Answer: False

"Operation: Chambermaid" was undertaken by the eight men in Dog Company in 1944, and joining those eight soldiers was Bigby, whose inhuman nature became known to Duff, a member of the squad. When Duff was the last survivor of the group besides Bigby, he gave Fabletown's sherriff a scrapbook detailing the events of the mission. Bigby got the gift in "Fables" #28, which went on sale in 2004.
4. Whom did Bigby fight in 1944?

Answer: Frankenstein's monster

During the waning days of World War II, the Nazis were working on recreating Frankenstein's monster, but were only able to churn out one specimen. They also captured Bigby Wolf and intended to use his blood to create wolfmen, but all did not go according to plan. Bigby fought the other monster in issue #29 of "Fables", which went on sale in 2004.
5. As a group of Fables wait outside Snow's delivery room, who is smoking?

Answer: Bigby

Although no smoking is allowed in the hospital, Bigby has never been one to follow rules. He went so far as to stuff a cigar in a nurse's mouth! Snow White gave birth to seven cubs on the same day that Prince Charming was elected mayor of Fabletown. Both events happened in "Fables" #30, which went on sale in 2004.
6. While still in the hospital, what happens to Snow and Bigby's cubs?

Answer: They start floating

"Oh dear." remarks Boy Blue as all six cubs start levitating. Because only one of the cubs looks fully human, Snow and the newborns must live on the Farm where all non-human Fables live outside of the public eye. Due to past acts against the Three Little Pigs, Bigby Wolf isn't allowed on the Farm, putting a monkey wrench in the new family's life.

The cubs floated for the first time "Fables" #30, which debuted in 2004.
7. Whom does King Cole room with following his electoral defeat?

Answer: Boy Blue

King Cole moves in shortly after Doctor Swineheart announces that Boy Blue's hands are fully recovered from being thoroughly broken by Baba Yaga and her wooden soldiers. King Cole was quite depressed after his loss, and dropped out of the social scene for a while. The two became roomies in "Fables" #31, which went on sale in 2005.
8. Who is the first Fabletown resident to die?

Answer: Mister Web

Mister Web died from suffocation with no murderer in sight. Eventually the reader learns that Snow and Bigby's seventh cub was born invisible, a gust of wind who fed off of the air people breathed. Sadly, without proper training, his eating habits proved deadly, and he was sent to live with his father. Mr. Web died in "Fables" #32, which went on sale in 2005.
9. Why did Fabletown's City Hall get so messy?

Answer: Flycatcher was set free

As sherriff, Beast pardoned Flycathcer for his fly-eating crimes, which was the only reason Flycatcher was the janitor of the building. The sudden change left Flycatcher directionless, and City Hall dingy. Little did Beast know that Fly was kept there so that he wouldn't remember his tragic past. Beast learned of his error in "Fables" #33, which debuted in 2005.
10. Who shows up to train the cubs?

Answer: The North Wind

The North Wind is Bigby's father who took the form of a wolf to woo Bigby's mother. There is no love lost between father and son, Bigby having tried to kill his dad many times in the past, but the North Wind does love his grandchildren. North Wind first appeared in "Fables" #31, which debuted in 2005.
