Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where are you likely to find a Zeenana?

Answer: Mystery Island

The Zeenana is a type of fruit more commonly found in the Tropical Food Shop on Mystery Island. Zeenanas are also featured in the game 'Defender Trainer' where you have to identify certain Neopets, Petpets, and items. Mystery Island is home to many exotic fruits and foods.

In fact, you're also likely to find Tigersquashes, Juppies, and Chokatoes here. Many fruits can be used in the Gadsgadsbogen game on Mystery Island, or you can just wait for the Gadsgadsbogen festival to roll around every year.
2. What type of Neopet is Hubrid Nox?

Answer: Chia

Hubrid Nox is a vampiric Chia who is commonly found in the Haunted Woods. Not surprisingly, Hubrid is also one of many Neopets to be found in the Gallery of Evil which outlines many of Neopia's dangerous creatures. In the game 'Magax: Destroyer', you can play as Magax, a Wocky, as he tries to defeat Hubrid in his lair.

Items or objects relating to Hubrid Nox are released around Halloween since he's a part of the spooky/haunted theme.
3. What is the Neopedia?

Answer: A resource that players can use to look up famous people, places and objects from around Neopia.

The Neopedia can be found from the Explore menu directly above the Neopian map. Once here, you can look up articles about your favourite types of Neopets, odd places, and weird items (like the "Bendy Desk Lamp". New Neopedia entries are often released at random, but any new additions are listed on the News page of the site.

Many articles can include secret avatars, and many contain original pictures.
4. What is the name of the Faerie Queen?

Answer: Fyora

Throughout Neopia, users can find and meet Faeries. These mystical creatures can give you many great rewards. If you happen to complete their quests, you can earn different things. For example, one Faerie may raise a Neopet's stats, while another may simply feed your pet. Illusen and Jhudora frequently ask for quests, and they give great items for doing so, but these can become expensive. Taelia does the same on Terror Mountain.

Although the Faerie Queen, Fyora, barely gives quests, she can be found in the Hidden Tower selling Neopia's rarest, most-powerful and most expensive items.
5. Which region of Neopia contains a Citadel?

Answer: Meridell

The Darigan Citadel began floating over Meridell since the first Meridell/Darigan war. During the first battle, the Neopians fought against Lord Darigan and saved their land, but soon, Lord Kass rose to power and a second war began. When he was defeated, Meridell and Darigan had a truce.

Not only does Meridell contain the Darigan Citadel, but it also features Meri Acres Farm, Meridell Castle, and Brightvale.
6. Where would you use a Neopian Avatar?

Answer: The chat boards

Neoboard avatars can either be expensive and rare or easy-to-find. An avatar is a small picture that you can use in the Neoboards to identify yourself, but many search Neopia to add them to their collection. Many of these can be found just by going to different pages, defeating different people, or using different items, but some of them require a certain date or a large sum of money.

Some avatars are retired having been released for a plot, date, or special event. They are also used in the guild.
7. In which game are you likely to find Thyassa, Zargrold, and Farvin III?

Answer: Gormball

"Gormball" is well known game found on Virtupets Space Station, and it's celebrated during Gormball Appreciation Day on September 23rd. The game features many playable characters including the Grundo Chef, Ember the Fire Faerie, Thyassa the Chia, and Kevin the Korbat.

In the game, you need to randomly pass the ball around, and whoever it explodes on is out of the game. It's almost like 'Hot Potato'! The game costs 20 Neopoints to play.
8. An Usuki is a type of Neopet.

Answer: False

An Usuki is a type of doll that you can buy for your Neopet. They bear a striking resemblance to the Neopet Usul. In fact, if you come across an Usuki paintbrush, you can paint your Usul into an Usuki. There is also another line of toy dolls as well called 'Quiguki'.

These dolls resemble Quiggles, and are often more rare than Usukis themselves. The Usuki Paintbrush works on Quiggles as well. There is also a game called "Usuki Frenzy" in the games section of the site.
9. What is the name of the site owner's user account?

Answer: Borovan

Adam Powell created the Neopets site back in 1997 and it was launched in November 1999. Although he's often known as 'Number 6' on the site, he is often known by his username, Borovan. If you check his profile, he will often have Asparagus Chias and a Red Bori.

He has five pets (that's one more than any user can get), and usually their stats (excluding HP) are maxed out. Borovan is also a type of drink that can be bought on the site. Due to Adam's love of asparagus, there are many asparagus-themed goodies around the site.
10. What does a transmogrification potion do?

Answer: Mutates your pet.

Transmogrification potions are one of the only ways to get mutant pets. The others include the Lab Ray and the adoption agency. Transmogrification potions are often rare and sell for large amounts of money on the shop wizard, trading post, or auctions.

When it's used, your pet will change into a mutated form. It works much like a paintbrush, and can be reversed with another colour-changing device. Petpets can also be painted mutant.
