Alan Graber is the coach of Minnesota State and the father of their star player, Chip.

Joe Mitch is identified also in the letter Stevie receives as the executive director of the USBWA.

Bill Thomas is the father of Stevie.
2. Who is Stevie's co-winner in the USBWA contest and where is he/she from?

Answer: Susan Carol Anderson, North Carolina

"According to the USBWA press release that had been waiting for them in their room, Susan Carol was from Goldsboro, North Carolina."

3. Who was considered "Iverson without tattoos"?

Answer: Chip Graber

Chip was considered by Dick Vitale as "any absolute jet", and could have possibly been chosen in the top five picks of the NBA draft.

"Some people called him 'Iverson without tattoos.' He was that good."
4. What team could Stevie not stand, above all?

Answer: Duke

Stevie had many moments that showed his dislik of Duke. My favorite is when he saw a women wearing a pin that said "ABD". He asked her what team was the pin for and she replied "Anybody but Duke". Stevie said he wanted to get one of those. His dad said it would blow Stevie's "unbiased-reporter image, don't you think?"
Stevie replied "I'll wear it inside my shirt, next to my heart."
5. Susan Carol's dad is a minister.

Answer: True

Yes, Susan Carol's dad is a minister. Stevie found it funny that a minister's daughter can be a Blue Devil fan at the same time.
6. Who is Stevie' escort during the Final Four?

Answer: Dick Weiss

Dick Weiss introduced himself to Stevie and told him that he was his escort, while Bill Brill would escort Susan Carol.
7. What did Stevie refer to Dick Vitale as, in his article that Weiss checked over?

Answer: "a one-man twenty-four-hour sports-talk radio station"

Dick Vitale couldn't have been nicer to Stevie, offering to send him his new book that "Hoops" (Weiss) wrote, and autograph it to.

As Stevie was starting over to Coach K he heard Vitale say "I am just PUMPED to be here in the Big Easy! Hey, it's Final Four Friday! It' gonna AWESOME, BABEEE!..."
8. What was the final count for references to "student athletes"?

Answer: 40

During the first press conference, Brill and Weiss were counting the references to "student athletes". They heard 39 during the four combined press conferences, and Stevie and Susan Carol heard one outside the Minnesota State locker room.
9. Who was blackmailing Chip Graber who taught "Ethics and Morals in American Society Today"?

Answer: Tom Whiting

Isn't it ironic that Whiting was a blackmailer even though he taught ethics? Stevie and Susan Carol were shocked by this.

The wrong answers from this question were all coaches or ex coaches that had dinner with Stevie and his dad.
10. Who turned out to be the good guy that Susan Carol, Stevie, and Chip thought was one of the bad guys?

Answer: Steve Jurgensen

Jurgensen turned out to be Chip's dad's friend and lawyer. Jurgensen was on the good side, having rescued them after they had been tied up by those who were blackmailing Chip.

Everyone of those choices that was wrong was in on the blackmailing of Chip Graber.
