Mr. Cheney was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on January 30, 1941 and grew up in Casper, Wyoming. Casper, Wyoming was the point of convergence for all of the major westward trails during the 1800's - Oregon Trail, Mormon Trail, Bridger Trail, Bozeman Trail, and Pony Express Trail.
2. She was the third U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier (CV-3). What was her name?

Answer: U.S.S. Saratoga

The U.S.S. Saratoga survived serious damage from Japanese Kamikaze attacks in February 1945, with five planes scoring direct hits on the carrier within a span of just three minutes. 123 of Saratoga's crew were killed in these attacks.
When WWII ended, U.S.S. Saratoga was utilized as a transport to bring soldiers home from the Pacific theatre. More than 29,000 Pacific War Veterans returned home aboard the "Sara".
