Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Donald Duck can be described using what word?

Answer: Anthropomorphic

Anthropomorphism is described as anything that is not human that holds human characteristics. For instance, some rocks have slits in them that look like eyes. Donald Duck can talk, which ducks typically cannot do, his wings are hands that can hold things, and he wears clothes. These are human characteristics not commonly found on a duck.
2. Which of these was a gangster known as the King Duck?

Answer: Chen Chi-li

Chen Chi-li was born on May 11, 1943, and died on October 4, 2007. He was a gangster from Taiwan, and headed the United Bamboo Gang. His most infamous killing was of Henry Liu in 1984.
3. Which of these USA states has a city named Chicken?

Answer: Alaska

Chicken, Alaska is a very remote city in the Southeast Fairbanks Census Area of Alaska in the United States. Chicken was settled in the 1800s by gold miners, and was recognized as a city in 1902. In 2000, the population was 17, but is slowly escalating.
4. Which of these actually exists?

Answer: Turducken

Turduckens are very unusual. Turduckens are chickens stuffed in ducks. The ducks are then stuffed in turkeys. It makes a very moist and tasty dish, and you cook the three together like you would a regular turkey, chicken, or duck. Sometimes, the chicken can be stuffed with dressing, to make the turducken even moister and tastier.
5. What is the fear of chickens?

Answer: Alektorophobia

Alektorphobia is the fear of chickens, although it can sometimes mean more than just the fear of chickens. Some with alektorphobia also fear turkeys and other poultry.
6. What are young turkeys called?

Answer: Poults

Poults are usually unable to fly for two weeks after they have hatched. Although the large domestic turkey is unable to fly, the smaller wild turkey can fly several meters off the ground. This allows them to perch in trees, but it is not a good way for transportation. Turkeys are much better runners than they are flyers.
7. What does it mean when your epidermis is horripilating?

Answer: You have goose bumps

Epidermis is skin. Horripilation is getting goose bumps. Goose bumps are also called people bumps, chicken skin, chill bumps, goose flesh, and goose pimples. Other than horripilation, it is also called piloerection, or the pilimotor reflex. Not only humans get goose bumps, other mammals do too.

The best examples are porcupines, whose quills stand up, and cats, whose hair stands up on end.
8. Which of these is not a real breed of chicken?

Answer: Wessex

The Ac is a local Vietnamese breed that has black skin, but white feathers. The Baheij was named after a nearby village after it was developed in the Borg-El-Arab Poultry Research Station in Egypt. The Dorking is thought to be Italian, but was introduced to Great Britain very early on. There is no such chicken called Wessex.
9. What are female chickens who are under one known as?

Answer: Pullets

Pullets are young female chicks, before they are one year old. Once they are one, they become known as hens. Castrated roosters are known as capons.
10. What is fried on a chicken breast to make Milanese Chicken?

Answer: Italian bread crumbs

Coating chicken in bread crumbs makes it Milanese Chicken. Chicken Parmesan is made with frying Parmesan cheese on it. When you coat it with flour and any seasoning, it will become fried chicken. Covering it with peppercorns makes it Peppered Chicken.
