When an animal goes into hibernation, it is near death and may actually appear to be dead. It's body temperature drops to near 32 degrees F, it only breathes a few times a minute and its heartbeat is almost non-existent. Polar bears have a very good year-round food supply so there is no reason for them to hibernate. The female polar bear only hibernates if pregnant.

The German liner the Wilhelm Gustloff, torpedoed by a Russian submarine in January 1945, killed an estimated 7,700 people. The Gustloff was a converted luxury liner serving as a hospital ship. On the night it was sunk it was over crowded with refugees, mostly women and children, and about 1,600 military personnel. There were only 903 survivors.

The auguste clown's makeup is flesh colored but the rest of the makeup is bright and accents the nose, mouth, and cheeks. Auguste was the name of the original auguste clown.

The hobo clown is a caricature of someone who has nothing and never will expect to have any thing. Red Skelton was a very famous hobo clown. The character clown is the caricature of a person or profession.

Some character clowns include policemen, doctors, and cowboys.
