The capital of Venezuela, Caracas is just a short trip from the coast. The islands of Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire lie off the coast of Venezuela. Curacao and Bonaire are part of the Netherlands Antilles. Aruba separated in 1986.
