Yahiko was the original founder of Akatsuki, although Obito claims to have manipulated him into creating the organization. Konan and Nagato helped him found it, however it was originally Yahiko who came up with the idea and who collected the members. Black Zetsu also claims to have orchestrated the Akatsuki in order to unseal Kaguya.

Both Deidara and Sasori considered themselves artists, with Sasori claiming that his puppets were 'art', and Deidara claiming that his explosions were 'art'. Tobi never claimed to be an artist, and neither Itachi and Hidan nor Konan and Sasori were teams.

"He was the type to die young" was Sasori's description of Deidara, a statement that proved to be true (at the age of 19, Deidara blew himself up to try to kill Sasuke).

He then decided to try to take Sasuke's sharingan, because Sasuke was an easier target. Shizune was Tsunade's assistant and a medic. Anko is one of Orochimaru's ex-students, and was the proctor of the second exam in the Chunin exams.

Yahiko's reason for creating the Akatsuki was to end all fighting. When the leadership passed to Nagato, the purpose of the Akatsuki became to conquer the world, Nagato's idea being that if the Akatsuki ruled the world, they could end all wars by crushing anyone who dared to fight with the power of the tailed beasts. Obito wanted to raise the ten tails so that he could cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

In Yahiko's (the founder's) country, it always rained, almost as if the sky was crying due to all the wars. Yahiko wanted to change that, and the name Akatsuki may have come from his desire to stop the rain and bring daybreak to his country. The other names I just made up.
