Slaughterers sometimes call those with skin lighter than theirs 'ghosts'. Banderbears cannot use fire, sky pirates don't burn redoak and neither do woodtrolls.

Both Twig and Rook learned how to speak Banderbear. Lemkins are not big at all. Ratbirds are also small, and they do not have a proper communication call. Logworms don't have fur.

Answer: Termagant trogs

One termagant trog who missed her Blooding Ceremony was Maugin, who became Stone Pilot for Cloud Wolf (Quintinius Verginix) and Twig. Male termagants cannot turn termagant, as the transforming blood is poisonous to them. The others do not even partly match the description.

The main physical difference between humans and fourthlings is the fact that fourthlings have pointy ears. Grey goblins can be confused with fourthlings too. Slaughterers are easy to tell apart from other races because of their red skin and hair.

Twig once saw one and thought it was Spelda Snatchwood. Only a caterbird prevented Twig from getting killed. Fangulars aren't in the "Edge Chronicles".
