Answer: Meggie

Meggie is Mo's daughter; she has inherited the trait of reading characters out of books from him. She really enjoys reading books and has a crush on Farid. Meggie is captured by Capricorn because of her abilities, and is ordered to read The Shadow out of "Inkheart." Then, she becomes the first to read herself into a book by reading herself and Farid into "Inkheart."

Answer: Resa

Resa gets caught in "Inkheart" when Mo first uses his talent and accidentally reads Capricorn. However, when Darius reads her out, she loses her voice. But when Mo gets shot, she is so upset, she says a word to him, and from that point on, she can use her voice. Dustfinger is thought to have a crush on her, and she has taught him how to read and write.

Answer: Mo

Mo is the father of Meggie, and has the ability to read characters out of books. He finds this out when he accidentally reads his wife, Resa, into a book, and reads Capricorn, Basta, and Dustfinger out. Mo is very brave and was able to read kill Capricorn with his power. Once he gets read into "Inkheart" by Orpheus, he gets shot by Mortola, recovers, and gets captured by the Adderhead.

Answer: Farid

Farid was read out of a book by Mo when Capricorn asked Mo to show him the power. Farid then started following Dustfinger around, and became very interested in his talent. However, when Farid gets a crush on Meggie, he is not as loyal to Dustfinger anymore. Farid has kissed Meggie before and was willing to go save her from the Silver Castle.

Answer: Cloud-Dancer

Clouddancer only appears in the "Inkheart" book and never gets to see the real world. He was a very good tightrope walker, until he fell off and broke his back. From then on, he served as a messenger. He was very helpful to Dustfinger, Resa, Mo, and Fenoglio, but got killed when he got a knife through his back while on a mission.

Answer: Fire

Dustfinger has a great talent with fire, and he shows this to Meggie in Elinor's backyard. Farid adores this talent, and learns it over a period of time. Dustfinger had a liking for Resa, and was married to Roxanne in "Inkheart." He uses a very special trick of his to save Mo from the Silver Castle by turning invisible.

Answer: Fenoglio

Fenoglio is the writer of the "Inkheart" book, and gets read into it with some of Capricorn's henchmen. Later, Fenoglio finds a nice place, and tries to write a happy ending to his deteorating story. However, he needs Meggie or Mo's help to do it. He does end up creating a new prince, but he dies anyway. Fenoglio lives in the hills near Capricorn's village and has three grandchildren.

Answer: Elinor

Elinor is Meggie's great aunt, and is one of Resa's aunts, too. She is sometimes referred to as the bookworm because of her obsession with books. She collects many books of all kinds, and is completely destroyed when her library gets burned down. While a lot of others are getting trapped in "Inkheart," she is trapped by Orpheus, who is destroying her library.

Answer: Glass

Rosenquartz is a minor character that stays with Fenoglio and sands his parchment. He is a little glass man and gets in many quarrels with Fenoglio. They are very close, although they do threaten each other a lot. However, Rosenquartz does speak the truth most of the time and has given some helpful advice to Fenoglio.

Answer: Adderhead

The Adderhead is a very evil person, and enjoys killing people. He is also known as the Silver Prince, due to his obsession with silver. In fact, his entire castle is made of silver. The Adderhead has never been a henchman of Capricorn, and is not very associated with him.

However, some people who used to follow Capricorn go to be with the Adderhead, simply because of their love of evil.
