Answer: he was killed by a dragon

Zehava's death made Rohan, then 21 years old, ruling Prince of the Desert. His first task as Prince was to slay the dragon that killed his father. It was the first and only dragon Rohan would kill.

2. Where did Sioned and Rohan first meet?

Answer: in the desert, near Rivenrock

Sioned was sunburned and travel-stained when she met Rohan miles into the desert beyond Stronghold. Rohan had only just fought his battle with the dragon that had slain his father.

3. For what deed did Rohan give Sioned her emerald ring?

Answer: saving his nephews Maarken and Jahni

The twins Maarken and Jahni were five years old when Sioned accompanied Rohan and the boys to Rivenrock to see the dragons hatch. The rebellious twins climbed too near a cave and were almost scorched by a frightened hatchling.
