Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What level is the Shadow Clone technique?

Answer: Jōnin level

The Shadow Clone technique is a B-Rank technique, that was created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.

By using this technique, the user can create clones of himself. The Chakra of the user is divided among every clone that is created, and by doing so, gives each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. If a clone is hit with strong enough force, it can be destroyed.

There is an advanced version of the technique, the Multiple Shadow Clone technique, which is raked as an A-Rank technique. In simple words, the technique is just a massive version of the Shadow Clone technique. The user can create hundreds of clones by using it. But also, this technique is ranked as a Kinjutsu (Forbidden technique), because of the fact that the Chakra will be split in so many clones. Meaning, only people with large enough amount of Chakra can preform the technique successfully.
2. What is the name of the Hyūga Clan's technique used for defense? It was shown for the first time by Neji, who fought against Naruto in the first match of the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams.

Answer: Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven

The Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven (Hakkeshō Kaiten) technique is a Taijutsu (Body technique), passed down only in the Main House of the Hyūga Clan.

The users of this technique release a large amount of Chakra from all the Tenketsu (Chakra Points) on their body, while spinning, and form sort of a Chakra shield that can block and toss away attacks.

Neji, a member of the Branch House of the Hyūga Clan, mastered this technique all by himself - a proof that he was one genius Ninja.
3. During the first match, between Naruto and Neji, of the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams, how many of Naruto's Chakra Points did Neji block?

Answer: Sixty-Four Chakra Points

Neji, while using the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms (Hakke Rokujūyon Shō) technique, blocked sixty-four of Naruto's Tenketsu (Chakra Points). In total, there are three hundred sixty-one Tenketsu, on a person's Keirakukei (Chakra Pathway System).

This technique, like the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven technique, is part of the Jūken (Gentle Fist) style of fighting, that is only used by the members of the Hyūga Clan. By blocking sixty-four Tenketsu, of one's Keirakukei, their Chakra flow stops. Some, after experiencing it, can't move, some fall into coma.

There is an advanced version of this technique: Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms (Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō), with which the number of Tenketsu that can be blocked is doubled.
4. Was the Hyūga Clan's Main House Cursed Seal technique in the shape of an X?

Answer: No

In the Manga it was displayed as a swastika. Because the symbol is associated with the Nazis, in the Anime it was replaced with an X. But in reality, the symbol comes from Hindu and Buddhist history.

Remember that all the questions in my quizzes are based on the Manga.

The Hyūga Clan's Main House Cursed Seal technique is an A-Rank technique. The technique has two purposes:

01) If the Branch House member that is branded with the Cursed Seal dies, that person's Byakugan (White Eye) will be sealed away, making it useless.

02) The Main House members can control the Branch House members, with a secret Hand Seal known only to them, with which they can destroy their brain cells - kill them.
5. "You are a man loved by the Hyūga talent more than anyone in the Clan" - whose words were these?

Answer: Hizashi Hyūga

These were Hizashi's last words to his son, Neji, before his death.

The reason for his death was the simple fact that he was a member of the Branch House of the Hyūga Clan, and had to protect the Main House of the Clan, which he accepted with no difficulty because of his love towards his brother and the Clan.

The story goes back to the time when the Land of Fire and Land of Lightning signed a peace treaty. The signing of the treaty occurred in the Hidden Leaf village, where the Ninjas from the Hidden Cloud village came with some of their more notable leaders. At the night, after signing the treaty, the leader of the Hidden Cloud Ninjas attempted, but failed to kidnap Hinata (for the Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limit) of the Hyūga Clan, the Byakugan), because he was killed by her father, Hiashi, the leader of the Hyūga Clan.

The Hidden Cloud village, with one of their leaders dead, made demands of the Hidden Leaf village. If they wanted to avoid war, they had to hand over Hiashi Hyūga to them. But the Hidden Leaf village, along with the Hyūga Clan, didn't find this demand very pleasing, because no one wanted their Kekkei Genkai exposed to another village. That's why there was made a secret plan between the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and the Hyūga Clan - instead of Hiashi they send his twin brother, Hizashi. When Hizashi was killed, the Cursed Seal technique activated and his Byakugan was sealed away for ever. Thus, the Hidden Cloud village failed to get their hands on the Dōjutsu (Eye technique).
6. Naruto used the Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole technique to get under Neji and hit him with an uppercut in the jaw, which won him the first match of the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams. Is this true or false?

Answer: False

Naruto just simply dig up a tunnel in the ground, with his bare hands, to where Neji was standing.

The Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole technique is a C-Rank technique. It can only be used by people that posses Earth Nature Chakra. With this technique, the user can make the earth smoother, easier to move through.
7. What did Neji's father wish for for his whole life?

Answer: To have chosen his own destiny

Hizashi, as a member for the Branch House of the Hyūga Clan, was bound to serve the Main House of the Clan. Thus, he couldn't make any decisions or choices on his own, and had to follow his brother's orders.

But, when the affair with the Hidden Cloud village occurred, and the plan to deceive them was prepared, Hizashi gladly chose to die for his brother and the village - his brother, Hiashi, didn't want him to sacrifice himself for his own doing, so Hiashi saw his as a chance to chose his one destiny.
8. Why did Kankurō forfeit the second match of the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams, against Shino?

Answer: He didn't want to reveal his skills

According to the list of matches for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams, the Gaara VS Sasuke match was supposed to take place as the second match, after Naruto VS Neji. Then, during the second match, the invasion of the Hidden Leaf village, by the Hidden Sand and Hidden Sound villages, was planed to begin, with Gaara's transformation into Shukaku. But, unfortunately for them, Sasuke was absent, and the match was moved down.

Thus, it came to the third match, Kankurō VS Shino, where Kankurō forfeited because he didn't wanted to reveal his skills to the enemy.
9. Once, Asuma disguised an IQ Test as a game and made Shikamaru play it. How many points did Shikamaru score on it?

Answer: Over 200 points

Shikamaru Nara is a member of the Hidden Leaf village's Nara Clan, from the Land of Fire.

He graduated from the Ninja Academy and became a Genin (Low Ninja) at the age of twelve. After the graduation, he was put in Team 10 (Team Asuma), along with Ino Yamanaka and Chōji Akimichi, under the leadership of the Joūnin (High Ninja) Asuma Sarutobi.

Also, the same year, Shikamaru was promoted to a Chūnin (Middle Ninja).
10. Shikamaru extended his shadow through the tunnel that Naruto dug up during his match with Neji, to catch Temari, in their match in the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams. But did he enter the the tunnel, with his shadow, the way Naruto went in or got out?

Answer: In

Shikamaru, by using his Shadow Imitation technique, got his shadow through the hole that Naruto got in and got out from the hole that Naruto came out, and caught Temari.

However, when everyone thought that he was seconds away from winning the match, he gave up, because he was tired, even though "he had Temari in his hands".
